Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for Project Lead, Technical Level  2, for a 6 month contract opportunity.  The positions are located in Toronto.

Description of Duties:

• Leadership of all aspects of the integrated assessment record (IAR) technical infrastructure team including technical implementations, application support, environment support and interaction with the Health Information Network Providers.
• Work collaboratively with the IAR business implementation, development, QA and privacy and security teams
• Manage technology relationship with outsourced application hosting  vendors, development partner and/or technology vendor(s)
• Participate in any technology RFP or vendor selection processes
• Ensure alignment of IAR technology with CCIM process and policies
• Work with business and architect to ensure IAR application will meet business requirements, both functional and non-functional
• Develop and execute strategies to support a province wide rollout of the IAR from a technology perspective
• Manage new deployments and upgrades of the IAR
• Manage the complete life cycle of the IAR - maintenance, monitoring and patching in accordance with CCIM policy and procedure, manage changes in change-controlled environments
• Support the transition of the management of IAR deployments to the respective HINP including training, policy development and documentation
• Manage the creation of supporting documentation including build books, run books, deployment guides and other operations processes as required.
• Create and manage project timelines to meet business and project goals.
• Manage the development and/or configuration of the IAR to accept new assessment types.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and meet project goals and timelines
• Demonstrated experience with application implementation activities including deployment, transition to operations, maintenance and support, change management
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• A minimum of 5 years work experience with integration technologies such as XML, SOAP
• Hands-on experience with Java Application Servers
• Hands-on experience with Portals
• Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix and Windows Servers
• Experience with Oracle database and knowledge of SQL
• Hands-on experience with TCP/IP networking, understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts, deployment and integration architectures
• Experience with ETL and Reporting systems
• Experience with application development including coding, architecture and design.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and meet project goals and timelines
• A successful track record ensuring the business needs of clients is met.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple deliverables and work independently
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Minimum Computer or Engineering degree or equivalent work experience

Nice to have:

• Experience with Business Objects Data Integrator and Crystal Report server

Other:

• Travel within Ontario may be required

Our client has a requirement for two Programmer Analysts – Application Development for a 12 month contract opportunity.  The positions are located in Edmonton, AB.

Role:

This position is responsible for providing a wide range of programming services including new application design and construction, systems integration, and maintenance support of existing business solutions.  The Programmer Analyst will be working with Solution Architects, Programmers, Systems Analysts, and Quality Assurance Analysts to understand the system requirements and the construction of systems that meet those requirements.  Where appropriate, Programmer Analysts will mentor and guide Programmers.

Specific Accountabilities:

• Interact with other IT Development and Operations departments to clarify and build applications that meet a business unit’s objectives.  These departments include, but are not limited to, the Project Management Office, Corporate Solutions Delivery, and IT Development and Operations (see below).
• Work directly with Solution Architects, other Programmer Analysts, Quality Assurance Analysts, Project Managers, Project Analysts, and Business Analysts to design, develop, and document new and maintain existing business applications
• Act as a technical subject matter expert with regards to programming, system design, and development related activities.  This may include leading code and design reviews within a project team.
• Prepare plans for application construction, implementation and ongoing system support.
• Create and vet use case/requirements specifications.
• Provide work estimates to managers and project managers as requested. This may include working with Programmers to develop such estimates.
• Evaluate candidate technologies and tools for use in systems design, construction, and integration.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and adherence of systems development methodologies within projects.
• Construct new applications, interfaces and maintenance changes.
• Design and build databases as required
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy
• Prepare system documentation and training material

Qualification 

• Recognized Information Technology training – university/ college/ technical school or equivalent experience.
• Two (2) + years of Java or .NET development experience in industry.
• Two (2) + years experience developing and implementing Web based applications.
• Five (5) + years IT development and analysis experience
• Proven experience with web services, SOAP, WSDL, SWING.
• Proven experience with XML, XSLT, and Schema creation.
• Proven experience with UML and/or other modeling tools.
• Proven experience in using iterative development methodologies.
• Previous financial industry experience would be an asset.

About the Job

Job Description

Our GTA client is looking for a Technical Infrastructure Support Specialist for 6 months contract based in Toronto.

Deliverables

• Responsible for the integration of system vendors’ applications into the integrated assessment record (IAR).
• Develop documentation for vendor requirements and schema specifications (testing validation guides, sample submission files, Data Submission and Technical Specifications guides…).
• Escalate issues as appropriately to the IAR leads.
• In conjunction with implementation support role and vendors, develop requirements to support the import of new assessment types.
• Manage development contracts and statements of work with vendors to develop integration interfaces.
• Interact directly with Architect Solutions’ partners and clients.
• Maintain clear communications with all stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• Interact with Software Engineers/Developers to integrate with backend services and enterprise systems.
• Develop implementation strategies with vendors, touch-base calls, follow up on development and testing effort.
• Escalate IAR system errors to vendors and ensure timely fixes are provided and deployed.

Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• 2 years or more of work monitoring and control
• 2 years or more of software vendor liaison and coordination
• 2 years or more of system integration experience in a networked/Internet-based environment
• A successful track record of ensuring that business needs of the clients are met
• Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion, engage participants and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple deliverables and work independently
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Technical Mandatory Requirements

• 2 years hands-on experience with web services/SOAP & XM
• 2 years experience with Web Services technologies (WSDL)
• Experience with SFTP
• 5-6 years of software development experience through a full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience with Java

Our client has a requirement for a Solutions Developer for a 5 month contract opportunity.  The position can be located in either Mississauga or London, ON.

Role:

This role is a blend between a highly technical individual with a Web Services background and an individual with strong leadership qualities.

The primary focus of this role will be to perform inventory analysis of 55 Web Services. This individual will be required to compare the existing services with the defined standards and identify the delta between the two. The result will be a scorecard for how each service measure up to these defined standards along with other miscellaneous recommendations for improving each Service. There will also need to be an effort estimate for applying each standard. The individual will work closely with the project PM as well as the in house Senior Designer. This role will require the candidate to think and work very autonomously. The delivery date for this project is March 2012, however, there is a potential for contract extension depending on deadlines.
