Our client has a requirement for Flex/J2EE Developer for 6 months renewable contract opportunity.  The position is located in Denver, CO.

• At least 3 years of experience in Flex framework

• Extensive experience using web framework like Spring or Struts.
• Experience in Ant/Maven, Log4J, JUnit, Weblogic Application Server and Eclipse.
• Proven knowledge of ActionScript 3.0 and experience in application development using the Adobe Flex frameworks .i.e., Cairngorm,  PureMVC,SWIZ etc.
• Good knowledge in BlazeDS and\or Granite DS and Flex Builder 3.
• Experience with cloud computing (Amazon and other cloud computing tools) is highly preferred.
• Good knowledge in HttpServices, Remoting and Web services.
• Knowledge of Optimization and Modularization of Flex Application.
• Development of Custom Components in Flex.
• Experience with AJAX, JSON and Web 2.0 technologies
• Competency in JavaScript and HTML. (Integration of Flex with JavaScript i.e., External Interface API etc.)
• Experience working on portals, dashboards and large scale intranet applications
• Ability to work well with others and multitask

Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for Java Developer for a 3 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Ottawa, ON.

Requirement or Qualifications:

Qualified Candidates will have:

Experience developing web applications with (J2EE v1.4 or greater);

Experience developing web applications, using a dbase (Oracle 9.x or greater or SQL.);

Experience developing web applications using an app development framework such as Spring or Struts;

Experience developing applications using a Java GUI library such as Swing (1yr) - Experience using Tomcat/SWT would be acceptable;

Experience developing web applications, using Application Servers such as Websphere; WebLogic or JBoss;

Experience developing web applications, using an eclipse based IDE such as MyEclipse, Eclipse or WSAD;

Experience developing web applications with UML ;

Experience developing web applications with JSP, XML and HTML;

Experience developing web applications using automated testing frameworks ;

Experience developing web applications, using automated build systems such as Maven  or ANT; and

Valid Security clearance (Enhanced Reliability or Secret)

Our client has a requirement for a Senior Solutions Developer  for a 6 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Mississauga.

Role:

We are looking for a Senior Solutions Developer to work on a credit application project. The project will enhance an existing application. There will be a lot of analysis on the impact these enhancements will have as well as testing and review. Previous experience with credit applications in either commercial credit or small business is a very strong asset. J2EE and Web Technologies experience is mandatory. SSL Certification is a nice to have. 

·    Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs for Canada Trust Technology Solutions Business Banking team.

·    This team provides project delivery and system support for the Credit and Cash Management product groups within Client Business Banking. The team works closely with the business partners and other technology teams to provide solutions both in the mainframe and distributed technology domains.

·    Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

·    Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. May report directly to a project lead or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

·    Prime responsibility will be to analyse the enhancement features, test and review and contribute to detailed design specifications, create and review code and assess impact on other applications. Role will work closely with other team members to ensure consistency in coding standards and approaches and to optimize any synergy and re-use opportunities.

 

Key accountabilities are:

·    Responsible for leading technical aspects of project from inception through to deployment.

·    Participate in analysis and system design specification sessions.

·    Documentation of design options and solutions according to System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.

·    Ensure that solutions adhere to development best practices and architectural principles.

·    Apply analytical skills to resolve problems and deliver viable solutions. Anticipate obstacles and execute proactive approaches to issues. Active participation in issue resolution.

·    Provide detailed development estimates to Project Manager for development effort as well as weekly status reporting and budget forecasting.

·    Configuration management for the sub projects within the release.

·    Responsible for coding, testing, packaging, deployment and support of builds as code is promoted from development, system, acceptance and production environments. May lead code reviews.

·    Work closely with System Test Environment Management Team (STEMT) to ensure that environments are fully functional and that builds are properly deployed.

·    Participate in development of test strategy, test plans, test cases and testing efforts (unit testing and integration testing of code).

·    Provide technical support to business and testing team during testing phases. Track defects, defect triage and resolution.

·    Data set up and environment shake down.

·    Coaching / mentoring of junior developers.

·    Knowledge transfer within group.

·    Ensure required documentation is housed in the project repository and that knowledge transfer has occurred to full time staff upon completion of contract term.

Skills:

May require a bachelor's degree and requires experience in the field or in a related area.
