Our client has a requirement for 2 Data Warehousing Specialist (DW Specialist) for 7 month’s renewable contract opportunity.  The positions are located in Toronto. 

• Design and implement the data loading (ETL) and  publishing processes within the DW/BI environment
• Design and implement multi-dimensional models, including the construction of Data View, Dimensions, and Cubes while adhering to enforced development methodologies.
• Design and implement reporting applications including (but not limited to) BI dashboards, reporting cubes and static reports.
• Convert existing reporting tools to a standardized reporting infrastructure using SQL and Microsoft products.
• Design and implement required interfaces for the data warehouse including to BI tools and other applications used by the business
• Identify data quality issues and support the data governance initiative by participating in necessary activities including data profiling.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years development experience using the following technologies:              
• Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008; SQL Server Integrated Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Java J2EE, Oracle 10g, SQL, PL/SQL, Views, Functions, Stored Procedures, Packages, Tables, XML – parsing, messaging, , HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, .NET, Flat files
• Latest MCITP (BI) is a definite asset        
• Experienced in developing Business Intelligence solutions (reports, dashboards, scorecards) using Microsoft SSRS, SSAS, and MDX in a data warehousing environment
• Experience in the design and implementation of ETL processes
• Experience developing and running MDX queries
• Ability to perform detailed data analysis (i.e. determine the structure, content, and quality of the data through examination of source systems and data samples).
• Advanced knowledge of and OLAP technologies and dimensional

We are looking for a Senior Data Integration Developer for a 6 month contract in Torornto.

Candidate should solid experience with data-related activities to develop and maintain data standards, processes and templates as required to support data-intensive applications in technology arm of major Compliance programs. Please submit individuals who understand and exploit enterprise solutions for structured and unstructured Data Management (ETL, EAI, content management/ECM, etc); perform data modelling and provide guidance/consultation on schema designs and extensions/updates; lead efforts to perform Data mapping, data extraction in support of data-intensive Compliance initiatives.

The candidate will be responsible for leading data-related activities in a matrix organizational structure comprised of vendor, professional services and full-time resources from CSTS and other departments.


Specific responsibilities:

• Perform data modelling and provide guidance/consultation on schema designs and extensions/updates.

Job Description

We are looking for a contract to hire Applications Programmer with strong Java experience, highly proficient in SQL skills and at least 5-10 years experience in one or more major databases preferably DB2. Advanced knowledge in Shell and PERL scripting in Unix/AIX environment is also preferred.

This individual will be a part of the Business Intelligence development team with a focus on Java, Unix, Perl Development, ETL development, strong database skills. The BI Solutions delivery team is developing responsible for enterprise business solutions utilized by Wholesale banking division of Client. Data warehouse solutions are implemented on DB2 v9 with Ab Initio ETL tool and Cognos 8.4 Suite providing BI solutions to our technology clients and business partners. Java/Shell Scripting/Stored Procedures are used for back end processing. Actuate and Crystal is used for Enterprise reporting solutions. The solution also generates reports in batch mode that is delivered through web, FTP and Email serving various business needs.


Job Description / Accountabilities:

• Perform system analysis, design, programming, testing, and walkthroughs following Client’s SDLC methodology and adhering to bank technology standards
• Produce test plans/scripts and perform test execution using available/appropriate tools
• Utilize the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodology (PMLC) to create, review and complete required project documentation
• Contribute to team success by meeting key project milestones and overall project deliverables on time and within budget, while adhering to development and quality standards
• Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and with our technology partners
• Have proficiency in Java technologies in proven workplace development skills using Java
• Highly proficient in SQL skills in one or more database technologies preferably DB2.
• 5-10 years experience in one or more major databases preferably DB2.
• Excellent understanding of relational and dimensional data models.
• Advanced knowledge in Shell and PERL scripting in Unix/AIX environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaborative skills
• Solid experience in analyzing query performance issues and modifying data structures or application code to remedy performance problems
•• Proficiency in XML technologies with experience in XQuery again XML based databases will be considered as an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with changing priorities

•Manage the development and/or configuration of the IAR to accept new assessment types.


Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•A minimum of 5 years work experience with integration technologies such as XML, ETL, SOAP, SFTP
•Hands-on experience with JAVA Application Servers
•Hands-on experience with Portals
•Hands-on experience with Identity Management
•Hands-on experience with Windows Server
•Experience with application development including coding, architecture and design.
•Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and meet project goals and timelines
•A successful track record ensuring the business needs of clients is met.
•Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple deliverables and work independently
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Minimum Computer or Engineering degree or equivalent work experience

•Travel within Ontario may be required
