Essential Responsibilities

Control contract profitability through periodic Review process
Maintain unit operating history & parts life history on commercially available software
Maintain record of parts currently installed in each unit
Support customer in forced, unplanned and planned unit outages
Provide information and drive sales regarding the latest advancements in conversion, modification, & upgrade opportunities to owner as well as other up selling opportunities
Interface with teams for new customer opportunities

Qualifications/Requirements

4 years of Engineering Degree preferred but 2 years technical degree will also be considered
Must have good knowledge on industrial gas turbines
Minimum of 10 years industrial experience
Demonstrated management experience
Previous significant customer-facing experience.
Successful P&L experience
Exceptional communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for a Project Manager for a 6 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Scarborough.

We are currently seeking a Sr. Project Manager that can manage a large infrastructure project.

The following are must haves; application monitoring experience (IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager [ITCAM], CA Wiley or Compuware's Dynatrace preferred), strong SDLC & PMLC background, extensive background with infrastructure implementations within an enterprise level environment. Nice to have experience includes familiarity with application development and delivery (especially Java) and middleware experience.

The incumbent will be responsible for conducting a POC with a small number of vendors, and then implementing an "end-to-end" or application transaction monitoring solution within our existing IBM Tivoli environment. This project includes updating existing processes, defining new processes to monitor applications, creating a communication plan and considering organizational implications.

The project manager is not intended to be a monitoring SME but should have experience with these types of solutions to support delivering multi-faceted projects that have many stakeholders. The "business users" are infrastructure experts and application managers/owners but the project success will depend on employing skills found in a more traditional business environment.

The incumbent will need to work through ambiguity. Please ensure candidates are Senior Project Managers with superior communication skills, ability to impact and influence, solid negotiation and 5 plus years of leadership experience.

Requirement or Qualifications:

· Monitoring experience (ideally leveraging IBM Tivoli, CA Wiley or Dynatrace solutions)

· 5 +years of Project Management experience and have been working on/ supporting large enterprise, infrastructure projects

· Strong SDLC/ PMLC

· PMP

· Expertise in MS Project, Excel, Visio and Powerpoint.

· Ability to work independently

· Must be dynamic and be able to build strong sustainable solutions

· 4 + years of Solid documentation skills

· Strong impact/ influencing skills - this individual will need to prepare strong business cases and create presentations for executive stakeholders

· Must be able to work with little supervision

Project Procurement Manager - EPCM

Job Description:

The Procurement Manager is involved in a project from the proposal/study (FEL1, FEL2, FEL3) phases up to the project close-out and handover of the project execution phase. The major interfaces are with project management, engineering, project controls and construction management to ensure a cross functional implementation of materials management and contracts management processes.

The Procurement Manager directs, controls and co-ordinates the procurement of engineering/ construction services, equipment and materials for the project obtaining optimum performances with regards to cost, technical requirements and quality to satisfy the project budget and schedule. The Procurement Manager is the custodian of the entire procurement cycle which includes materials management and contracts management at the home and/or site offices.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for drafting/coordinating/compiling Materials Management and Contracts Management strategies and plans as well as the Procurement section of the Project Execution Plan (PEP).
Responsible for implementing all procurement processes and templates/documents to be used on the project.
Responsible for the entire Procurement cycle from the procurement package definition stage to the closeout stage.
Provides inputs for Project reporting as required.
Verifies and ensures integrity of the entire procurement cycle, validates that all activities are carried out in accordance with the relevant procedures, maintains sound business practices in an ethical manner.
Ensures compliance to and maintenance of the procurement filing system (electronic and hardcopy).
Understands and manages the procurement and project strategies in order to provide the best outcomes in terms of scope, cost and time.
Interfaces with the client to ensure that objectives are achieved, potential problems are identified and preventive or corrective actions are taken.
Performs continuous self-audits to ensure compliance with guidelines and procedures.
Provides supervision, training and assistance to all procurement team members across all procurement disciplines; promotes and maintains a healthy and harmonious work environment.
Conducts regular interval meetings with team members to discuss status quo, identifies and resolves all issues within the team.
Acts as primary communication resource within the project regarding procurement issues.
Foresees potential problems, slippage or delays and pro-actively implements corrective measures to resolve the issues or mitigates the impact thereof.
Provides reporting and updates to the Client, the Project Manager and the Procurement Hub Lead on a regular basis.
Plans, controls and Monitors procurement activities in accordance with the approved project schedule.
Ensures functional direction on all procurement issues, including site construction contract issues, during contract administration and closeout.
Performs resource planning, which includes man-hour allocation and management.
Ensures efficient and correct usage of Procurement Management systems and Document Management Systems.
Where required, performs site visit to oversee the procurement/commercial activities or resolve issues arising on the project; maintains a presence both on site and home/execution office. In specific cases, a Site Procurement Manager may be based at site during the construction phase.

The right individual must have a reliable background in EPC Project Procurement.

Requirement or Qualifications:

Essential

Extensive experience in an EPCM project environment on capital projects, specifically in a management role
Contracts/Legal related training as well as general project and management related training
Experience with drafting of commercial terms and conditions and an understanding of accompanying legal implications
Proficient negotiation skills
Excellent understanding of procurement processes which includes both materials and contract management and corporate governance principles
Knowledge and understanding of the local environment and contractors
Experience and understanding of contracting and purchasing strategies
Proven managerial skills
Experience in dispute resolution techniques and their applications
Prior experience in the administration of construction/service contracts and major equipment purchase orders
Experience in using, developing and implementing procurement reporting tools
Project management knowledge.

Preferred

An appropriate tertiary qualification will be highly regarded
Diverse international experience is an asset.
