Travel:
Sales role will require travel to local customer base and customer base within territory. Local travel (within market driving distance 3 hours or less) would be expected to 75% of the role requirement. Travel by plane or train is required for customer engagements and internal meetings 1x/month. Due to the geographic nature of the Western role, this could require additional airplane travel
 
 
High level responsibilities:
The ultimate goal of this role is to enable Public Sector customers to provide their services to their constituents (both internal and external) by effectively using CLIENT'S solutions. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will need to drive incremental revenue through selling the end to end solution stack as well as specific workloads. To deliver the business in a large geography, the Opportunity manager will also need to plan and coordination with their Inside territory manager, as well as partner account managers and partners.
 
 
Key Deliverables:
 
Strategic Opportunity Sales Plan:• Proactively drive the planning and orchestration of the territory team to meet scorecard and revenue goals. A territory plan with prioritized strategies and approaches to focus efforts to achieve operational and sales goals will be required.
• The plan must include tactics for opportunity creation sufficient to meet pipeline coverage and revenue targets
• The plan must include a strategy and tactics to meet customer satisfaction goals.
 
Territory Management:
• Set up and manage a regular rhythm with key members of the Territory Team Unit to ensure successful attainment of strategic goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) for territory
• Lead weekly forecast review with management. Participate in a weekly opportunity review with their inside territory manager to plan and agree an approach to the territory
• Virtual customer meetings will be a key tool for this role with f2f customer meetings focused on opportunity acceleration as well as growing and closing new opportunities
• Develop and manage a healthy (150%+ coverage in week 1 of quarter) and accurate (90%) pipeline that is sufficient to meet or exceed quota expectations
• Incorporate plans to drive strategic and competitive wins
 
Collaboration:
• Foster productive working relationships internally in Microsoft and externally with partners and customers
• Engage in co-selling with partners (via partner account managers) to teach them how they can effectively close sales, coaching the partner and providing strategic feedback.
• Help orchestrate movement of opportunities through the sales process
• Work collaboratively with other members of the team and with cross group members e.g. Partners, Partner account managers (PAMs), and Inside Solution Specialists to influence revenue, satisfaction and adoption.

Opportunity Management
• Create a set number of new revenue opportunities with a set created revenue target
• Own the sales effort during the Develop (20%) through Close (100%) stages of Microsoft Solution Sales process (MSSP) for the following:
• large opportunities that are valued over $75,000
• opportunities with strategic or referenceable customers
• opportunities for strategic products including specific competitive targets
• using full MSSP execution and CRM compliance to ensure all opportunities are managed systematically and fully tracked in CRM
• execute a Conditions of Satisfaction (COS) agreement on each engaged sales opportunity
• Help orchestrate partner and Microsoft resources to drive opportunities to closure.
• Prioritize opportunities in pipeline for sales execution
• Leverage technical and licensing knowledge to maximize the utilization of Microsoft products within the account base. Up-sell and Cross-sell into existing opportunities is essential for success.

Culture of team:
• The Public Sector inside Sales team is a long tenured team. This role will need to be able to drive credibility with that team quickly. This role requires close teaming with internal territory manager and inside sales specialists to manage the territory as well as local market integration with Partner account managers and their partners. We are driving an increased culture of individual accountability to ensure a performance driven sales culture. A successful candidate will need to embrace and thrive in a sales culture based on results as well behaviour behind a highly disciplined sales process.

Qualifications:
Must have skills:
• Current understanding of Microsoft products, programs and Public sector licensing
• Sales acumen – proven experience in building a pipe with sufficient coverage and also managing opportunities through to close
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem solving skills
• Ability to get access to and sell to senior IT decisions makers as well as C-level executives.
• Proven Business Acumen to sell to decision makers/influencers (outside of IT) in Accounts
• Ability to orchestrate efforts of team members to achieve overall objectives
• Self-motivated, independent thinker with great enthusiasm for the role and solid
• Bilingualism is required for the role based in Montreal

Nice to have skills:
• Existing relationships with Public Sector accounts and partners in their territory

Educational and Industry Background:
5+ years of related experience in an External sales role.
Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering/Computer Sciences/ Business preferred.

SMSG Readiness is a field focused training organization that builds complete selling muscle (knowledge & skills) which continuously improves how Microsoft Field, partners, and customers innovate, grow share, & increase CPE. Our objective is to help the Field hit its scorecard and share goals with Area, Segment, and BG synthesized and endorsed learning and performance programs. SMSG Readiness provides programs, tools, and events to help the field with:

Position Summary

We are looking for a passionate, high energy, determined yet agile individual to help drive and support end to end planning and execution of SMSGR (Sales/Marketing Group Readiness) related projects & programs across the Canadian business. A key component of this role is to act on the knowledge and insights we gain from various sources which will help drive field readiness while influencing positive behaviour that supports the participation of training and readiness for Microsoft Canada.

Corporate Accounts Inside Territory Manager

Job Description

The SMS&P Inside Sales Representative role is an opportunity for an individual to utilize their sales experience delivering solutions and products to a named customer base of 125 existing accounts. This IAM will work as part of a TTU (territory team unit) in conjunction with a regional Large Opportunity Manager. Leveraging both internal resources and the Partner Community, this person will influence revenue across the Microsoft product line. A successful individual will be someone that can drive Customer and Partner Satisfaction while aggressively growing sales within respective accounts through depth strategies.

In this role, you will have significant interaction across the SMSP division while working closely with other members of the Microsoft Sales team and Microsoft partners. It is expected that you will develop a deep knowledge of Microsoft technologies and licensing and how they can be applied to meet customer needs. Targeting key Technical and Business Decision Makers in the segment, the focus is to build relationships, assist in software assurance activation and provide high level assistance with various deployment scenarios.


Duties and Responsibilities:

•Probe for opportunities and challenges through effective questioning and active listening; establishes an identified need; proposes relevant Microsoft solutions or licensing options to generate interest and creates a solid value proposition.
•Qualify potential opportunities to 20% (validates Pain, Power, Value, Vision and Control) and gains agreement that the customer is willing to engage with a partner to acquire a solution or promotes the opportunity to the Opportunity Manager for deeper engagement.
•Verifies and maintains data in Siebel. Leverages information in MS Sales and other tools (EOLAS, Telesales 360) to verify license information.
•Position partners and field sales engagement with customer accounts as appropriate once an opportunity is qualified.
•Complete internal hand-off to field account manager, solution specialist, or partner includes agreement with the customer plus recommended internal next steps (resources, recap the value of the opportunity).
•Maintain and develop customer account profiles, activity notes, and opportunity details through the input and capture of timely, accurate, and clean data using the prescribed CRM tool.
•Maintains contact with the account throughout an opportunity engagement and contacts each customer within assigned territory no less than one time per quarter.
•Drive annuity renewals through early engagement and consistent follow up.
•Drive Deployment across the customer base by offering marketing material, MS migration tools and guidance, connecting the customer with deployment partners.
•Create and execute daily call plans. Organize and plan day effectively to achieve established goals and objectives.
•Calls are executed efficiently and effectively. Calls result in the acquisition of necessary information for updating customer profiles.
•Work with team manager and marketing department on executing call campaigns. Includes uploading activities, creating email templates and educating the team on the call to actions of the campaigns.
•Work with team manager to maintain monthly reporting on team responsibilities and objectives.
•Provide team with regular updates on PFP attainment and results against weekly commitments.
•Point person for ensuring proper workflow is followed by the team to maintain reporting data integrity.
•Assist with execution of team training plans.

Qualifications:

Required experience in the following areas:

•4+ years sales and account management experience in high tech industry.
•University degree in business or related function or equivalent business experience
•Strong organizational skills demonstrating your ability to schedule and organize work, and to effectively prioritize time and activities
•Formal sales training such as Solution Selling, Spin Selling or Miller Heiman
•Proven track record at achieving measurable sales goals in a high paced environment.
•Developing relationships with senior-level technical and business decision makers.
•Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft products and solutions.
•Strong verbal and written communications, teaming and interpersonal skills.
•Previous people management experience an asset.
•Demonstrates complex problem solving skills.
•Demonstrates sales revenue forecasting.
•CRM Experience. (Seibel, Onyx, or Pivotal)

Description

Ø Define and Develop Technology Solutions and Service Clients
Ø Design and develop quality solutions for program/system issues consistent with project objectives and client requirements, and follow technology architecture standards

Inside Partner Account Manager - Large Account Resellers (Bilingual)

The Inside Partner manager (iPAM) will work with the the Field and Large account Reseller (LAR) team, and provide support to the LARs. As the iPAM you will be the consistent contact point for the LARs using the Phone as your tool. This is an inside Tele role.


Responsibilities:

As the LAR iPAM you will be working with Microsoft Canada's biggest focus partners.

· Working collaboratively with LAR PAM’s
