Our client has a requirement for Technology Infrastructure Support Specialist L2 for a 6 month opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

Deliverables:
  • Subject Matter Expert for all aspects of SAN design, maintenance & administration.
  • Perform monitoring and maintenance of multiple storage environments.
  • Provide capacity planning, provisioning and evaluation of data layout.
  • Performance and tuning analysis of SAN storage devices
  • Serves as a SME in the area of IT Backup, Backup Compliance, Archive and Data Lifecycle Management
  • Reviews and ensures backup policies support the company records and retention policies and are aligned with industry best practices
  • Manage data backups and the overall execution of retention policies.
  • Maintain and update configuration. Process, and procedure documentation
  • Ensure documentation of all storage environment and data replication relationships are accurate and current.
  • Review all environments and execute initiatives to reduce failures, defects and improving overall performance.
  • Participate in on-call (after-hours) duty rotation for both support & implementation functions
  • Perform off-hour change controls.
  • Communicate with peers and managers regarding storage administration issues.
  • Manage equipment/asset tracking activities (e.g. racking, decommissioning and related documentation activities).
  • Work with experienced Systems/Database and Network Administrators on maintenance of environment.
  • Provide instructions, guidance and mentoring on best practices to members of the Infrastructure/Operations team.
  • Use scripting languages to automate tasks and gather data (i.e. for reporting purposes) where appropriate.
  • Support DBA in managing interaction with the database server and the data storage
  • Consult on and communicate the implications of the capabilities, limitations and potential enhancements of the database repository.
  • Manage and maintain all documentation related to the design, build and maintenance of data storages


Qualifications:
  • Hands on experience in large data centre with SAN and NAS storage devices housing multiple terabytes of storage capacity
  • Expert in data storage protocols including CIFS, FC, FCoE, iSCSI, and NFS
  • Expert knowledge of NAS, SAN, and the limitations and benefits of each
  • Expert knowledge of EMC RecoverPoint and SnapView
  • Expert with zoning, file and volume management, clustering and replication, backup and recovery solutions, high availability, storage consolidation, performance and tuning
  • Hands on experience with brocade fiber switches
  • Ability to follow and adhere to policies, procedures and standards relating to Systems management:
    • Windows operating systems.
    • WAN data replication techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, CIFS, DNS and Microsoft Active Directory
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in order to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks, with tight deadlines concurrently.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform well in a dynamic environment, with on-time delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to use problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis to resolve issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and present effective materials, including presentations, status reporting, technical diagrams and flowcharts.

In this role, you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning at customer power generating facilities. In this position, you will:


Essential Responsibilities 
  • Perform on-site installation of systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair and calibration after installation
  • Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services to troublesome equipment
  • Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair and maintenance at customer's sites
  • Develop and further expand technical knowledge and expertise, currently recognized industry standards for engineering ability
  • Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheet and expense sheets on a complete timely, and thorough basis
  • Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labour performing work on customer sites
  • Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements
  • Knowledge to troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance checkout for wide range of equipment vintage
  • Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages
  • Support projects throughout Canada, focusing on our customers in Western Canada
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively in a fast pace, high-pressure environment
  • Financial understanding of shutdown maintenance and cost tracking.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a Field Services role)
  • Minimum of 2 years field service experience
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% of the time
  • Possess a valid drivers’ license
  • Posses a valid passport and be able to travel outside of Canada

Responsibilities
Elicit Requirements
  • Analyze the current state in order to create the design, definition and documentation of business requirements and associated technology and processes
  • Proactively draw out and document requirements, information and assumptions (implicit/explicit) from stakeholders using a variety of tools and techniques

  • Experience of the financial industry, in the following products: OTC Derivatives (Interest Rates, Credit, Equity, Commodity, and FX)
  • Knowledge of back office processing flows
  • Experience with use cases (UML) and/or dataflow diagrams, understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), project lifecycle, code documentation, databases, etc
  • Expected to work with minimal oversight and supervision
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg, Calypso Derivatives, and other derivative platforms
  • Knowledge of Swap Execution Facilities (SEF) & Swap Data Repositories (SDR) is consider and asset

About the Job
Our client has a requirement for Business Analyst / Level 2 for a 6 month contract opportunity.  The positions are located in Toronto.

Deliverables
  • Identifies and translates high level, conceptual user-requirements into specifications of business requirements to guide service development activities
  • Utilize experience in the community sector to gather requirements
  • Performs requirements validation and traceability
  • Perform process modeling activities
  • Develops use cases
  • Help develop test cases
  • Initial Assignment deliverables will include the following:
    • Gather and Document requirements
    • Prioritize requirements to updates on implementation
    • Create process documentation in preparation for knowledge transfer of Integrated Assessment to long-term data holder
  • Provide feedback for the Project Manager regarding progress, barriers and strategies to deliver the project
  • Identify barriers to progress and suggests strategies to overcome barriers
  • Maintain an appropriate knowledge of technology to ensure effective system design and implementation.
  • Presents new creative ideas and perspectives while taking on small internal projects


Qualified Candidates will have:
  • Knowledge and experience in user requirements facilitation/gathering, current/desired state process mapping a must
  • Experience Common Assessment projects in the Health Care sector is an strongly preferred
  • End to end experience with Business Analysis (business and technical requirement, process modeling, testing)
  • Stakeholder engagement and facilitation of working groups
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Experience working with vendors is an asset
  • Experience and understanding in "best practices" for readiness assessments.
  • Understanding of business modeling techniques/tools.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Business process re-engineering.
  • Business case development and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Feasibility studies.
  • Joint Application Development (JAD) facilitation.
  • Experience in structured methodologies for the identification of user requirements and the development of specifications.
  • Experience in the use of tools to document conceptual requirements and scope.
  • Awareness of emerging IT trends and technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; oral and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • A team player with a proven track record for meeting strict deadlines.


Nice to have
  • Experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience in the Ontario healthcare sector.
  • Experience in the Ontario Continuing Care sector.
  • Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies.


Other
  • Travel within Ontario is required 10-20% of the time
