Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for Project Manager for a 12 month contract opportunity. The positions are located in Mississauga.

Key accountabilities are:
• Manage day to day project activities of a large, complex project, execute, control and close out project against defined scope and budget.
• Utilize accepted standards and procedures.
• Maintain team relationships and team coaching and development.
• Manage stakeholder expectations.
• Manage risk and ensure compliance.
• Works autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborates with other business heads to establish and execute on common goals.
• Ensures delivery of projects to the business partner, meeting the approved scope/cost/schedule/quality for the project.
• Perform a governing role for, ensuring that the proposal, execution, control, deployment, training and hand off, warranty support, and closure to meet schedules.
• Strong involvement in business IMO.
• Management of large projects ($2M+), including multiple internal applications and external vendors.
• Estimation and planning, risk assessment, contingency planning, tracking and management of progress, issues, budget, risk and resources.
• Accountability for project budget and time lines.
• Ensures delivery of projects to the business partner, meeting the approved scope/cost/schedule/quality for the project.
• Perform a governing role for, ensuring that the proposal, execution, control, deployment, training and hand off, warranty support, and closure to meet schedules.

Skills:
Proven leadership skills and experience managing IT projects. Full life cycle development experience. Experience with proven project methodology tools. PMI or ITIL certification. Expertise in MS Project, Excel, Visio and Powerpoint.
To be qualified for this position, candidates must have the following: • Banking/Credit Card experience as a Project Manager (preference will be given to candidates with recent experience)
• Management of ($2M+) project
• Candidate must have extremely strong communication (written & verbal) skills.
• Adaptable – must be able to bring clarity to uncertainty
• Autonomous – able to work on their own to gather information and get the job done
• Previous experience with Off Shore will be an asset
• Understanding of distributed systems environment (WAS, Java) as well as Host is needed
