Job Description
Our GTA client has a requirement for a HL7 Business Consultant. This is a 12 month contract located in Toronto.
· A minimum of (10) years of experience in performing relevant business analysis in a medical laboratories context with the following qualifications, skills and applicable experience, including experience with the maintenance and deployment of large-scale systems projects within a multi stakeholder health care environment and the public sector is highly desirable.
The following skills will be evaluated:
- In-depth knowledge and experience in the definition of information needs and processes required for the exchange of clinical information, including the use of HL7 messaging standards.
- Experience should include the development of information systems requiring the detailed exchange of clinical information required for delivery of patient care.
- Experience in the logical design of data repositories for medical laboratories information.
- Experience in business process re-engineering within a clinical services environment.
- Experience with current methodologies and tools used for systems development.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office, as well as tools used for systems definition and modeling such as Rational Rose, etc.
- Knowledge of and experience with Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes (LOINC) and other coding schemes for laboratory test reporting.
- Knowledge of current messaging, online transaction processing (OLTP), and database technologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills, verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills and experience in a subject matter expert capacity.
