Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for a Permanent Role as a Remote Network Support Administrator in Kanata. As the Administrator, you will be responsible for all remote monitoring of external systems for clients requiring outside support. This will include Designing/Implementing complex local and wide-area networks, establishing policies on system use and services, and day to day administration of Microsoft server/AD environment and network related systems.

Requirement or Qualifications:
- More than five years of previous system administration experience
- CompTIA Network + Certified
- CompTIA A+ Certification (Hardware & Software)
- MCITP or MCSE: Server Administrator 2008
- Experience with: Desktop and laptop hardware support, Windows XP/Vista7 Workstation, Windows 2000/2003/2008 Server, Exchange 2003/2010, Server Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix), TCP/IP protocol suite and Ethernet networks
- Knowledge of Network and Desktop management tools such as Open Manage, Netflow, and Microsoft SMS
- Knowledge of UPS and power supplies – monitoring and configuring for best performance
- Capable of writing proposals or paper, acting as a vendor liaison, marking presentations to customers or client audiences or professional peers, and working closely with upper management.
- A solid understanding of Windows Networks; understands paging and swapping, inter-process communications, devices and what device drivers do, file system concepts (inode, clustering, logical partitions), can use performance analysis to tune systems
- A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; understands principles of routing, client/server programming, and the design of consistent network-wide file system layouts

- Citrix certified
- VMware Certified
