About the Job
Our client has a requirement for an Infrastructure Project Manager for a six month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight and execution of multiple projects and project managers. They will be accountable for managing broad and highly complex teams and projects involving significant scope and complexity.
 
 
Responsibilities
 
Key Accountabilities Are:
  • Sets direction at an operational level, works autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborates with other business heads to establish and execute on common goals.
  • Direct or manages large-scale applications, programs or projects across multiple product lines, involving significant scope and complexity. Ensures delivery of projects to the business partner, meeting the approved scope/cost/schedule/quality for the project.
  • Perform a governing role for, ensuring that the proposal, execution, control, deployment, training and hand off, warranty support, and closure meet promised schedules.
  • Performs risk identification and mitigation activities, escalating unresolved issues to the Executive and / or Steering Committee where appropriate to secure their timely decisions/support.
  • Manages the acquisition and deployment of resources, including budget, by working with the Project Managers to secure the resources required for the project.
  • Ensures client satisfaction with the project process and project team by effective and timely communication including status reporting, continual risk/issue assessment/management and escalation, and resolution of issues as they arise.
  • The successful candidate will be required to work with and influence senior level leaders and partner with other IT Managers.
  • Manage a team that consists of 50 – 100 people.
  
 
Requirements or Qualifications
 
 
Qualified Candidates will have:
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing large and complex IT projects.
  • Full life cycle development experience.
  • Experience with proven project methodology tools.
  • PMI or ITIL certification (both preferred).
  • Expertise in MS Project, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Oracle/Middleware experience
  • Knowledge of WebSphere, UNIX, SQL.

Business Analyst / Level 2

Job Description

The services and deliverables to be provided will include the following:

Deliverables

•Work closely with the project implementation, training and support teams to produce business case development, evaluation and requirements, as well as cost/benefit analysis.
•Liaise with the training team as needed to provide support.
•Work closely with other support areas within the Communications, PMO, IT (application and operations) and Financial departments in the development of business cases that relate to various HRIS requirements and activities.
•From a business perspective assist through input in maintaining an inventory of implementing organizations and their status as related to the utilization of Quadrant Workforce.
•Working with organizations to develop tracking reports on implementation related issues and perform initial analysis – Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs) and 6-8 evaluation process.
•Provide support to HRIS team and organizations through the implementation process, which includes interfaces to other financial and HR systems (i.e. Goldcare and CIMS).
•Supporting, where and when necessary services for post maintenance and support.
•Work closely with project teams and QHR Software to develop and implement a transition plan for the project to steady state.


Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•Understanding and application of business techniques and tools and their appropriate application in various environments – preferably in the areas of HR and payroll.
•Experience and/or exposure to the development and implementation of pre and post evaluation processes and business/technical systems
•Experience in developing various benefit/cost techniques for purposes of undertaking business, risk assessment and feasibility analysis
•Experience in one or more of the following areas:
◦Business case development (BCD)
◦GAP analysis
•Experience in the use of tools to document conceptual requirements and scope
•Understanding of risk assessment and mitigation
•Experience in conducting and leading impact assessments of business processes associated with new assessment tools with preference being within the health care sector
•Experience working in a team/project environment
•Specific statistical and financial reporting data knowledge
•Previous experience leading the transition of projects from implementation to steady state - i.e. operationalize business systems.


Qualifications – Nice to have

•Familiar with Ontario Health Records /MIS standards or other business standards within the public/private sectors.
•Experience working in and/or with the healthcare community.

•May be specific times when there will be a need to travel
•Flexibility with work schedule and requirements
•Sound knowledge of technology working tools and software applications – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
