Requirement:

  • Responsible for the overall design of the information architecture
  • Must balance the need for access against security and performance requirements.
  • Participate in the definition of technical standards and guidelines that pertain to data and information use, security, access and governance (incl. defining accountabilities in support of data quality mandates).
  • Ensure existing data/information assets are identified, stewarded and leveraged across lines of business.
  • Ensure a focus on information/data quality by developing and publishing data standards such as a common business vocabulary, naming conventions, data standards and transformation rules.
  • Construct, refine and maintain information models, as needed, to meet business requirements.
  • Monitor compliance and related guidance (such as data retention and audit requirements) to determine impact.
  • Monitor emerging industry standards (such as XML, RDF, OWL and XBRL) to determine impact.
  • Translate strategic requirements into a usable enterprise information architecture, which may include an enterprise data model, associated metamodel, common business vocabulary, ontology’s and taxonomies, which will then be used to guide enterprise solution development and achieve consistency of information assets across the application portfolio.
  • Develop a metadata management and repository strategy to manage all enterprise information architecture project artifacts.
  • When necessary, oversee mapping of enterprise information architecture models to package application models, to determine impact or assess suitability of vendor solutions to enterprise information architecture requirements.
  • Facilitate the mapping and auditability of information assets as they flow from upstream legacy, package or custom development and interfaces to downstream analytical applications, thus ensuring optimal transparency, quality, consistency and controlled redundancy across the enterprise.
  • Facilitate the definition of integrative and canonical views of data or information across multiple content types (structured, semi structured, XML or unstructured) to support convergence of information asset migration planning or impact analysis.
  • Participate in the definition of technical standards and guidelines that pertain to data and information use, security, access and governance (including defining accountabilities in support of data quality mandates).
  • Ensure existing data/information assets are identified, stewarded and leveraged across the enterprise.
  • Ensure the enterprise information architecture maps to the enterprise architecture.
  • Ensure a focus on information/data quality by developing and publishing enterprise data standards such as a common business vocabulary, naming conventions, data standards, transformation rules and related enterprise consistency specifications.
  • Construct, refine and maintain information models, as needed, to meet business requirements.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate information models exist to aid projects.
  • Develop a model management strategy in support of enterprise reuse and data-sharing objectives.
  • Validate audit objectives and assist with creation of audit plans to ensure continued data integrity and transparency.
  • Establish guidelines for reporting procedures on the reuse of enterprise information architecture artifacts.
  • Participate with new development activities and ensure they are consistent and well integrated with the established enterprise information architecture, using metadata management and/or a repository to promote reuse and standards adoption.
  • Facilitate consistent business analysis for information acquisition analysis and design, data access analysis and design, archiving and recovery strategies.
  • Assist in post-implementation continuous-improvement efforts to enhance performance and provide increased functionality.
  • Participate in key project design reviews as part of the methodology process to ensure application designs adhere to enterprise information architecture guidelines.
  • Review corporate data sources for new business information and better sources of data feeds.
  • Interface with the business community to provide data governance and design strategies.
  • Monitor regulatory guidelines (such as consumer privacy issues and PCI ) to determine impact on enterprise information architecture.
  • Monitor compliance and related guidance (such as data retention and audit requirements) to determine impact on enterprise information architecture.
  • Monitor emerging industry standards (such as XML, RDF, OWL and XBRL) to determine impact on enterprise information architecture.
  • Evaluate industry best practice data models (i.e.: ARTS) and provide leadership for adapting to our business.
  • Drive data design and stewardship practices for large enterprise initiatives such as CRM.  Leverage enterprise data quality toolsets (i.e.: Oracle UCM) to provide a platform that functions as the master file for enterprise customer identification.
Qualified Candidates will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related study (such as library science), or equivalent related project experience.
  • 10+ years of direct information architecture work experience, ideally in a fast paced, changing retail environment
  • In-depth experience designing and implementing information solutions.
  • Knowledgeable in the design and construction of information architectures that enable well-integrated transactional, collaborative and analytical systems.
  • Data/information modeling expertise at the enterprise level.
  • Understanding of common information architecture frameworks (such as Zachman and FEAF).
  • Understanding of differences between relational modeling and object modeling.
  • Understanding of taxonomies and ontology’s, as well as the challenges of applying structured techniques (data modeling) to less structured sources.
  • Understanding of metamodels.
  • Knowledge of problem analysis, structured analysis, and design and programming techniques.
  • Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to create original concepts/theories for a variety of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of project planning and management, including scope, time and resource management.
  • Experience creating information policy to support effective design of information systems and use of information across the enterprise.
  • Experience with various information modeling techniques (such as data flow diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams or create/read/update/delete matrices).
  • Familiarity with business intelligence and data warehousing development techniques.
  • High-level understanding of relational database management systems and other data structures.
  • Experience with data governance structures and tools
  • Experience with enterprise customer master technologies (i.e. Oracle UCM)
  • Strong leadership skills, communicating and influencing business application owners/champions, users and 3rd party suppliers
  • Experience writing business cases to demonstrate the value of information management initiatives
  • Familiarity with PCI-DSS, PIPEDA, PHIPPA and other regulatory items that affect retail and healthcare data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms and is able to tailor communication to audience, mediate and facilitate communications between others, and communicate information architecture to all levels of management and customers.  Must have the ability to gain buy-in from stakeholders on complex issues.

Underwriting Specialist

Agricorp is looking for an Underwriting Specialist to join the Underwriting and Account Services, Customer Commitment team in the Program Delivery division.


The Role
The Underwriting Specialist is a senior technical expert who will assess and evaluate risks of complex files and determine the extent of contractual coverage, conditions and exceptions. You will provide subject matter expertise to Agricorp and the Underwriting team. This position reports to the Team Leader, Underwriting Services. In this role you will:
  • Review and assess complex files to ensure adherence to SOPs and quality assurance standards and audit requirements
  • Act as a subject matter expert to provide support and guidance to the Underwriting Services team when dealing with complex or escalated client files
  • Create or open client files, assessing application/eligibility for enrolment in Agricorp programs, sourcing incomplete data, researching and investigating discrepancies or missing data and aligning information to underwriting criteria
  • Create and maintain relationships with clients, agencies, producers and liaise with Claims Services, Accounts, Quality, Customer Care and the field staff
  • Identify gaps in the underwriting processing, compiling reports on team irregularities and providing recommendations for improvement and change to the Team Leader
  • Act as a functional technical trainer, for other Underwriters and subject matter experts from other departments, and contribute to training materials
  • Act as a coach and mentor to other underwriting staff
  • Assist in recruitment of underwriting staff when requested
  • Participate in team goal setting and in communicating strategic directions and goals


Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field (i.e. mathematics, finance, commerce, business or agricultural sciences) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of related underwriting experience, preferably in the financial services sector or the agricultural industry
  • Working knowledge of related federal and provincial agreements and legislation an asset (PIPEDA, FOI, marketing boards)
  • Proven experience in coaching, mentoring or training others
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse groups including clients, agencies, producers and other professionals
  • Training courses in risk management or underwriting an asset
  • CIP or FIIC designation an asset

Our GTA client has a requirement for a Security Privacy and Risk Management Consultant for a 6 month contract in Toronto.


The Services and Deliverables to be provided will include the following:

Deliverables:
  • Develop and implement Privacy Program Management Framework for health care provisioning
  • Facilitate and present privacy artifacts to stakeholder in healthcare space including development of Data Sharing Agreements amongst Healthcare Service Providers
  • Develop Privacy and Security Management Processes for health care solution provisioning
  • Development & implementation audit management program/framework for Health information use
  • Develop and deliver privacy training necessary for Health Care System usage and deployment.
  • Conduct Threat Risk Assessment and Privacy Impact Assessments for the Integrated Assessment Record Solution
  • Support projects in ensuring security best practice and privacy
  • Provide Security and Privacy requirements and recommendations to health service providers
  • Advise the project team of recommended approaches for executing and promoting security and privacy practices.
  • Provide Security Architecture Consulting and help build appropriate security controls, while developing or deploying of technology and business solutions.
  • Work with user groups to provide security and privacy awareness and ensure a successful knowledge transfer occurs with technical support, application support and business users.
  • Maintain collaborative and productive working relations, with both strategic and operational elements.
  • Develop and maintain communication on the status of the project.
  • Provide executive level skills in conceptualizing risks and issues from the Project's perspective.
  • Work collaboratively with both the business and technical project teams to ensure that Privacy and Security requirements are understood and met.
  • Develop and present security and Privacy Policies
  • Answer stakeholder privacy questions in clear, concise, easy to understand manner.


Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Extensive experience developing privacy programs
  • Facilitation with stakeholders in healthcare space towards presenting/delivery of privacy management artifacts and training, conducting privacy impact assessments and threat risk assessments.
  • Extensive knowledge of developing information security, privacy and risk management policies and procedures
  • In depth experience with privacy legislation including PHIPA, FIPPA, PIPEDA and Security Standards and Best Practices.
  • Practical working knowledge of privacy and security regulations, trends and issues, including an understanding of their impact on business and IT operations, as well as skill with interpretation and communication of regulations and compliance requirements.

•Experience working in Ontario community care sector

IT Technology Risk Policy and Standards Technical Writer

Job Description


About the Job

Our client has a requirement for an IT Technology Risk Policy and Standards Technical Writer for a six month contract opportunity. The position is located in Mississauga.

This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining a strong set of IT technology risk policy and standards based on and mapped to industry standards and relevant regulations.

This position requires a highly motivated flexible individual who is receptive to new and innovative requirements. The incumbent will be responsible for coordination of meetings and discussions on the required adjustment/ additions. As the owner/ gate-keeper of the documentation, the successful applicant can potentially be adding to an existing policy/ procedure or creating a net-new documentation.

Requirement or Qualifications:


Qualified Candidates will have:

•Excellent writing and documentation skills
•Strong knowledge of Industry Standards and Regulations as they relate to Technology Risk and Controls: ISO 17799/27002, Sarbanes Oxley, GLB Act, PIPEDA, COBIT framework, PCI Industry Standards
•Ability to make an impact and execute on accountabilities
•Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
•Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
•Excellent verbal, written and communication skills required
•Ability to synthesis information quickly in an understandable cohesive manner
•Highly organized, self-motivated, customer oriented and be able to work independently as well as within a team
•Knowledge of Audit, Regulations (both Canadian and US) and Security in a technical environment would be beneficial
•Technical knowledge across many domains would be an asset
