Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for an Assistant Manager-Information Security for a permanent opportunity. The position is located in Toronto, Ontario.

Role:

Design solutions, assist implementation, monitor progress and re-engineer process/procedures for maintaining and enhancing the Information security posture of the organization.

Responsibility

• In consultation with the Information Security Group;plan, execute, verify compliance and re-engineer the process (if required) to maintain adequate Information Security posture across all office
• Drive Information Security related compliance requirements at the third party service providers
• Provide security awareness training to the employees/staffs
• Provide requisite support for implementation of organization wide Information Security initiatives
• Learn and advises the organization with current information about regulatory information security policies, procedures pertaining to the job
• Participate in business continuity/disaster recovery planning processes and reviews
• Participate in the planning and implementation of projects related to Information Security
• Design solutions, assist implementation, monitor progress and re-engineer process/procedures for maintaining and enhancing the Information security posture of the organization

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related area
• CISSP/ CISA/ CISM/ SANS GSEC / ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer
• 2-3 years of similar working experience as a Security Analyst/ IS Operations Manager
• Banking / Financial Services experience
• In-depth understanding of desktop/laptop/server controls
• Be able to consult on Information Security controls to be implemented in new IT initiatives
• Be able to consult the IT and Business teams for BCP/DRP
• Good verbal and written communication skills

About the Job


Job Description
Our GTA client has a requirement for a Security Privacy and Risk Management Consultant for a 6 month contract in Toronto.


The services and deliverables to be provided will include the following:


 Deliverables

• Guide and develop privacy management processes, implementation guidelines and procedures,  including Consent Management Framework for health care provisioning,
• Facilitate development of Data Sharing Agreements amongst Healthcare Service Providers
• Develop Privacy Programs and Privacy and Security Incident Management Process for health care solution provisioning
• Development and implementation audit management program / framework for Health information use
• Develop privacy and security training necessary for Health Care System usage and deployment.
• Conduct Threat Risk Assessment and Privacy Impact Assessments for the Integrated Assessment
• Conduct vulnerability assessment, application code review and web security analysis.
• Support the Integrated Assessment in ensuring security best practice and privacy
• Deliver Security and Privacy requirements and recommendations to Local Health Integration Network Steering Committees and individual health care organizations
• Advise the project team of recommended approaches for executing and promoting security and privacy practices.
• Provide Security Architecture Consulting and help build appropriate security controls, while developing or deploying of technology and business solutions.
• Work with user groups to provide security and privacy awareness and ensure a successful knowledge transfer occurs with technical support, application support and business users.
• Maintain collaborative and productive working relations, with both strategic and operational elements.
• Develop and maintain communication on the status of the project.
• Provide executive level skills in conceptualizing risks and issues from the Project's perspective.
• Work collaboratively with both the business and technical project teams to ensure that Privacy and Security requirements are understood and met.
• Develop and present security and Privacy Policies
• Improve privacy management program to comply with Information Privacy Commissioner of Ontario’s expectation.

Qualifications Knowledge, skills and abilities

• Strong experience developing privacy management processes in health care sectors including development of consent management tools, data sharing agreement etc.
• Extensive knowledge of developing information security, privacy and risk management policies and procedures.
• Experience conducting privacy management related awareness and training to users with various levels of technical and privacy understanding
• Strong technical skills related to performing vulnerability assessment, application code review and web security analysis.
• Extensive experience with Privacy Legislation including PHIPA, FIPPA, PIPEDA and Security Standards and Best Practices.
• Must have practical working knowledge of privacy and security regulations, trends and issues, including; an understanding of their impact on business and IT operations, as well as skill with interpretation and communication of regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience conducting Threat Risk Assessment and Privacy Impact Assessment for healthcare solutions and projects.
• Experience training and facilitating users in healthcare setting, preferably community care
