Job Description:

Our client is seeking an intermediate Java Developer to provide technical expertise while developing new and migrating existing applications using Java/J2EE. The consultant will provide guidance, technical expertise and development skills on multiple internal IM/IT projects and gain experience and exposure to new technologies and industry trends.

Requirements:

Must Have:

• 8 years experience as a Programmer Analyst where the resource was responsible for requirements analysis, web design, and web application development
• 5 years experience developing web applications with J2EE v1.4 or greater
• 4 years experience developing web applications, using a database (Oracle 9.x or greater or SQL.)
• 4 years experience developing web applications using a framework  such as Spring or Struts
• 1 year experience developing applications using a Java GUI library such as Swing –
• 4 years experience developing web applications, using App Servers such as Websphere; WebLogic or JBoss
• 4 years experience developing web applications, using an eclipse based IDE such as MyEclipse, Eclipse or WSAD
• 1 year experience developing web applications with UML
• 1 year experience developing web applications with JSP, XML and HTML
• 1 year experience developing web applications using automated testing frameworks - JUnit, DBUnit for example
• 2 years experience developing web applications, using automated build system
• Secret security clearance

Our client has a requirement for a Programmer Analyst Level 2 for a long term contract opportunity.  The position is located in Ottawa.

Qualified Candidates will have:

• Requirements analysis, web design, and web application development  experience.  Ideal experience required  8 yrs, Minimum: 5 Years
• Experience  developing web apps with (J2EE v1.4 or greater) Minimum experience required: 5yrs
• Experience developing web apps, using a data base (Oracle 9.x or greater or SQL.)  Minimum 4yrs
• Experience developing web apps using an app dev'T framework such as Spring or Struts (4yrs) There are others such as JSF, Tapestry and Wicket that may also fit the bill.
• Experience developing apps using a Java GUI library such as Swing (1yr) - Experience using Tomcat/SWT would be acceptable.
• Experience developing web apps, using App Servers such as Websphere; WebLogic or JBoss ( 4yrs)
• Experience developing web apps, using an eclipse based IDE such as MyEclipse, Eclipse or WSAD (4yrs)
• Experience developing web apps with UML (1yr)
• Experience developing web apps with JSP, XML and HTML (1yr)
• Experience developing web apps using automated testing frameworks (1yr) - JUnit, DBUnit, Selenium, for example
• Experience developing web apps, using automated build systems such as Maven (2yrs) ANT would be acceptable

Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for System Analyst for a 1.5 month contract opportunity. The position are located in Toronto.

Requirement or Qualifications:

Qualified Candidates will have:

Project Tasks:

- Review software application architecture, and test processes for large Web application environment(traditional 3 tier application [Apache, JBoss, Oracle])
- Modify customer standalone test application to examine performance of JBoss Portal on x86 and SPARC environments running Solaris 10. Will run standalone test suite on a variety of platforms and configurations. Data from standalone testing and analysis of application testing will be used to modify JBoss configurations and run application level testing on final configurations.
- One partial week onsite to meet with developers and review prior work.
- One week onsite to run final test configurations


Skills:

- Senior Software Developer - requires 8 years or more of software development must understand Java development tools, JVM monitoring, JBoss, Apache.
- Excellent communication skills required (verbal and written)
- Must be able to review application architecture, interface with customer developers and understand/analysis performance data.
- Must have some development experience with Solaris 10.
