About the Job

Our client is looking for an Enterprise Integration Architect for 6 months contract in Toronto.

Scope of Services and Deliverables - The services and deliverables to be provided will include the following:

Deliverables

•Deliver application and deployment architecture for an integrated assessment record (IAR) project that spans multiple sectors.

•Work with all stakeholders to develop integration strategies to facilitate assessment integration, portal integrations and data transport for the IAR.

•Work with vendors, standards & other stakeholders to develop XML schemas, design & other supporting documentation to facilitate the upload of new assessment types to IAR

•Develop solution architecture and other documentation as required by the project

•Review and provide feedback on business and design documentation.

•Work with third party software provider to ensure application development/configuration is in alignment with overall IAR architecture and is developed in accordance with client’s processes and development guidelines

•Ensure that the application and deployment architecture is aligned with requirements from pilot organizations, operations, standards and privacy and security.

•Communicate with key stakeholders to ensure that issues are escalated and resolved to meet project timelines.

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

•Minimum 6 years of software and system integration experience in multi-vendor environment 5 years working experience as a technology architect

•Minimum of12 year’s technology sector experience

•University degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience

•Experience working on large integration projects

•Experience with Orion products

•Experience with master patient index, such as Initiate EMPI

•Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills

•Thorough knowledge of software development lifecycles on large projects.

•Ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely to upper level project management, business experts, subject matter experts, technical project management and developers.

•Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills

•Experience in two or more of the following technology architectures:

• Ontario Association of Community Care Access Centers
• Continuing Care sector assessment technology environments
• Hospitals
• Pan Canadian standards from Canada Health Infoway

•Ability to lead other development and technical resources to achieve results.

•Strong technical knowledge of integration technologies

•Experience in the Ontario Continuing Care sector

•Experience in the Ontario healthcare sector

 TECHNICAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

•Experience with HL7

 •Experience with Java, webservices, SOAP, WSDL, Linux/Unix, and Oracle

Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a Software Design Engineer for a 6 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Vancouver, BC.

 
The Web Services Engineer will be responsible for design and implementation of robust, secure, and scalable web services, and deployment processes to support customer-facing applications. The successful candidate must have strong communication skills and be able to work side by side with programmers, designers and Production staff, and be passionate about owning a reliable high-traffic web application.

Responsibilities:

• Work with project leads to design, implement and support reliable, secure, and scalable backend web services in support of public-facing online applications
• Work closely with Design and Production teams to realize application functionality
• Make architectural recommendations for performance and stability and security
• Analyze feature designs and devise technical solutions
• Assist with planning, estimation and distribution of work
• Develop deployment process and mechanisms
• Develop and implement stress testing plans
• Helps Production develop schedules and determine milestones. 

Qualified Candidates will have:

• Experience with object oriented programming languages (C++, C#, Java)
• Experience with modern web technologies: ASP.NET, IIS, WCF, RESTful services, streaming media
• Minimum 4+ years experience building online services for web or game applications
• Experience supporting a live service with frequent refreshes of content and code
• Experience architecting scalable server solutions to support high-traffic and high-bandwidth loads
• Experience with planning for secure online deployments and operations
• Experience with modern web analytics and data-driven product evolution
• Able to demonstrate knowledge of solid software engineering practices, experience with SCRUM / agile based methodologies a plus.
• Self-starter who works well within a creative team.
• Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Nice to have skills:
• Experience deploying and supporting applications on cloud platforms (AWS EC2, Windows Azure).
• Experience with multiple web technology stacks and SaaS models an asset

• May require advanced knowledge of programming languages and/or development tools in one area, and moderate level skills in multiple areas such as C#, ASP.NET, C/C++, SQL Server 2008, Win 32 API, MFC, COM
• May be required to have experience across multiple tiers of development involving low level, embedded, middle and front end such as TCP/IP, WinCE and multi-threading

Educational and Industry Background:
• BSc. degree in Computing Science, or equivalent experience.

LEAD FUNCTIONAL CONFIGURATOR - SAP IS-Retail, Merchandising

The Lead Functional Configurator performs program configuration/modification and set-up activities using specific HD process techniques. Responsible for understanding business requirements and configuring program properties to meet those requirements. Extensive knowledge of how a specific package works and how it needs to interface with other functional areas. Interface with Business Stakeholders, IT Infrastructure teams, Development teams to ensure that business requirements are properly configured within a software package. The Lead Functional Configurator provides expert technical direction to functional configurators and contractors. Updates the Manager or Sr. Manager on day to day activities and status.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Gather detail requirements from business users for approved large scale projects and small enhancements to existing projects.
•Perform design for approved large scale projects and small enhancements to existing projects.
•Perform program configuration/modification and set-up activities on large projects using specific HD process techniques.
•Coordinate User Acceptance testing (UAT) with the Business Client.
•Provide System Requirement Documents (SRD) and Systems External Specifications (SES) documents to the UAT and System test groups, to assist with testing scenarios.
•Coordinate training and rollout plans for new systems or enhancements to existing systems.
•Provide expert technical direction to functional configurators and contractors.
•Coordinate/collaborate with Architecture and Infrastructure Teams on best practices, design and environment setup.
•Interface with Business Stakeholders, IT Infrastructure teams, Development teams to ensure that business requirements are properly configured within a software package.


CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

•Must fulfill minimum time-in-position and performance management code requirements of V2
•7-10 years of related SAP experience.
•3-5 full lifecycle SAP implementation experience including an in-depth understanding of SAP integration and ASAP methodology required.
•Deep functional configuration experience with MM -. MM (Vendor and Article (Materials) Master Data, Site (Plant), Classification System. Configuration, functional knowledge of SAP IS-Retail (Promotions, Retail Pricing and Assortment) preferred.
•Some technical experience LSMW, Debug also preferred
•Retail/business experience preferred.
•BS Computer Science or related field, MS a plus.
•Ability to succinctly identify business requirements and document design
•Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical
•Recent and Relevant Industry experience preferred
