Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for OBIEE Tester for a Contract and Fulltime opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Requirement or Qualifications:

Experience in OBIEE 11g reports, analytics and dashboard testing.
- Knowledge of OBIEE Metadata repository, layers and OLAP integration.
- Understanding of Software Testing life cycle, with good issue resolution, analytical and troubleshooting skills. Perform system integration testing and assist the users in UAT.
- Good understanding of  ETL tools and SQL queries.
- Strong Finance knowledge on General Ledger and Financial Statements. Exposure to PeopleSoft EGL and Banking domain is an asset.

About the Job

Our client has a requirement for a Tester Level/ 2 for a 6 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

Requirements:

• Provide expertise in the testing of the Integrated Assessment Record:
• Messaging and reporting applications, components, interfaces and transformations
• User Interface and business logic
• Third party integrations
• Develop / update and execute test cases for the new and existing projects and report on all type of testing including technical and business functional validation and application regression testing.
• Evaluate and report on the quality of test cases & software products and make recommendations for deployment.
• Review requirements, release notes and designs and develop and document comprehensive test plans.
• Prepare and execute test plans, run test cases, create detailed bug reports etc.
• Support other analysts by reviewing work and providing feedback.
• Assist development with reproducing defects under investigations.
• Work collaboratively within the team to develop and improve QA processes

Qualified Candidates will have:     

• 5+ years of experience in an application development and system integration environment within a deadline driven atmosphere.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced level knowledge of the software development life cycle, testing strategies, tools and QA methodologies.
• Experience with QA management process including defect management and tracking.
• Direct experience creating testing strategy documentation and test plans for various test phases i.e. SIT, UAT etc.
• Knowledge or experience with:
• JAVA, .NET and web development methodologies and best practices.
• Databases and the SQL Language
• XML, XSLT and XML schema’s (XSD)
• EAI principles and technologies and data transformation techniques.
• Experience working within anEnterprisewide platform.
• Clinical applications
• Must be self-motivated and flexible and be able to work under minimal guidance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision making skills and perseverance.
• Collaborative team player with a track record for meeting deadlines.

LEAD FUNCTIONAL CONFIGURATOR - SAP IS-Retail, Merchandising

The Lead Functional Configurator performs program configuration/modification and set-up activities using specific HD process techniques. Responsible for understanding business requirements and configuring program properties to meet those requirements. Extensive knowledge of how a specific package works and how it needs to interface with other functional areas. Interface with Business Stakeholders, IT Infrastructure teams, Development teams to ensure that business requirements are properly configured within a software package. The Lead Functional Configurator provides expert technical direction to functional configurators and contractors. Updates the Manager or Sr. Manager on day to day activities and status.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Gather detail requirements from business users for approved large scale projects and small enhancements to existing projects.
•Perform design for approved large scale projects and small enhancements to existing projects.
•Perform program configuration/modification and set-up activities on large projects using specific HD process techniques.
•Coordinate User Acceptance testing (UAT) with the Business Client.
•Provide System Requirement Documents (SRD) and Systems External Specifications (SES) documents to the UAT and System test groups, to assist with testing scenarios.
•Coordinate training and rollout plans for new systems or enhancements to existing systems.
•Provide expert technical direction to functional configurators and contractors.
•Coordinate/collaborate with Architecture and Infrastructure Teams on best practices, design and environment setup.
•Interface with Business Stakeholders, IT Infrastructure teams, Development teams to ensure that business requirements are properly configured within a software package.


CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

•Must fulfill minimum time-in-position and performance management code requirements of V2
•7-10 years of related SAP experience.
•3-5 full lifecycle SAP implementation experience including an in-depth understanding of SAP integration and ASAP methodology required.
•Deep functional configuration experience with MM -. MM (Vendor and Article (Materials) Master Data, Site (Plant), Classification System. Configuration, functional knowledge of SAP IS-Retail (Promotions, Retail Pricing and Assortment) preferred.
•Some technical experience LSMW, Debug also preferred
•Retail/business experience preferred.
•BS Computer Science or related field, MS a plus.
•Ability to succinctly identify business requirements and document design
•Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical
•Recent and Relevant Industry experience preferred
