Our client has a requirement for Software Design Engineer for a 3 month opportunity to start. The positions are located in Mississauga

Responsibilities
- To convert video processing algorithms written inefficiently in C or C++ into faster more efficient implementation that leverages the very latest in GPU hardware and compiler technology.
- To find and implement improvements to algorithms both from a quality and performance point of view. Expert knowledge in parallel computing on GPUs is required.
- Knowledge of other means of accelerating throughput of an algorithm will also be beneficial.
- In some cases it will be necessary to isolate and root cause a problem, eliminate all simple solutions, and then clearly and concisely communicate the specifics of the problem to experts in our DirectX team.
- The discipline to thoroughly prepare for these engagements, and the ability to readily comprehend the advice of these experts and ask relevant questions, will be key to building and build a strong relationship with them. Forming such relationships will lead to better and faster results on the project.
- Knowledge of video processing concepts used in pixel manipulation would be an asset.
Requirements or Qualifications
Qualified Candidates will have:
- 4+ years in Coding
- 1-2 years experience in Specific Language
- 1-2 years experience in parallel programming knowledge
- 4 years experience in c++ and programming
- Extensive experience in DirectX or CUDA or Open CL
- Excellent Communication Skills
