Job Description
Our client has a requirement for a Platform Service Developer for a 6 month Contract opportunity. The position is located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
PharmaTrust (PCA Services Inc) is a cutting edge dynamic start-up in the field of telepharmacy, producing the MedCentre remote medication dispensary. The MedCenter provides pharmacists with the ability to remotely counsel and dispense medication using IP based audio/visual conferencing and a remotely controlled dispensary robot system.
Platform Services develops and supports the PharamTrust Platform and provides shared enterprise services to the PCA Services group of companies.
The Platform Service Developer has the responsibility for developing the PharmaTrust Platform Services, integrating other systems applications and databases (both internal and customer), and evolving the Platform Train of the MedCentre application software.
Duties:
- Develop W3C compliant Web Services using Enterprise Service Bus technology in compliance with architectures, requirements, standards and guidelines established by the CTO
- Develop & deploy SOA based systems integration solutions of internal and customer systems, eg. ERP, pharmacy management system, drug information systems, etc.
- Participate in technology selection of application infrastructure in areas such as portal frameworks, federated identity management, SIP signalling, workflow engine, videoconferencing, or other business relevant major subsystems
- Port existing .Net client application code from existing solution architectures over to new Platform architecture
- Provide Fourth Tier problem management process technical support
Qualifications:
- 5 years experience with systems integration, middleware and enterprise integration patterns & technology in large scale environments
- Previous experience with systems integration environments such as telecommunications flow-through provisioning, business to business transactioning systems, consumer web portals or Enterprise Integration Architecture environments
- Hands-on experience with open source Enterprise Service Bus technology (OpenESB, Apache ServiceMix, FUSE, Mule ESB) or equivalent proprietary integration bus (Tibco, Vitria, SeeBeyond, BEA)
- Knowledge of BPEL or equivalent workflow engines
- Experience in middleware, messaging and N-tier service oriented architecture with development and deployment in large scale
- In-depth and hands-on experience with WS-* protocols and SOA
- Java JEE 5 or 6, Unix/Linux, Ant, Eclipse development environment knowledge
- Microsoft, C#, Windows Server, .Net frameworks (e.g. WCF), SparxSystems EA & TFS exposure desirable
- Knowledge of UML, enterprise integration patterns, design patterns, & data modelling
- HL7 messaging protocol experience desirable
