Qualified Candidates will have:

This individual will manage a team of web site "user experience" designers, and will provide leadership and direction to the team and the organization in terms of helping with standards and procedures for future initiatives. This person must have significant expertise in the design and 'usability' aspect of large high traffic consumer oriented web sites. Ideally focused on social networking, music, video etc.


User Experience Manager

Responsibilities

• Research, define and architect user experiences of new services and features collaboratively with an integrated team of product managers, designers and solution architects.
• Work with internal teams and external vendors (across functional teams including product, design, development, QA, operations, marketing, programming, etc.) to develop and manage user experience guidelines and specifications for new services, features and promotions on multiple platforms and devices (web site, smart phones, tablets and more).
• Lead the user research and testing for new and existing services and features.
• Identify new trends and prescribe best practices to define success criteria for effective measurement of user experience.


Qualifications

• 5+ years of user experience development and management, preferably for sophisticated websites featuring commerce, user management, music and or video and social networking capability.
• Experience leading and managing the user experience with internal and external teams for design, development and deployment
• Experience with user-centred methods and processes to define use cases, wireframes and interaction designs.
• Experience and proficiency with complex, new service launches of web technologies, product development, and operations development.
• Experience with and passion for broadband video and social networking
• A detail oriented mind that maintains priority and quality in a constantly, changing environment.
• Effectively communicate requirements, direction and feedback to internal and external teams.
• Effectively gather input and feedback to steer design decisions informatively and quickly.
• Applies flexible, documentation techniques for a quick paced development environment. Is versatile in managing design teams and be hands on in delivering user experience specifications.

Our client is looking for a Product Manager who has experience with programs and technology related to the “delivery" of video services to consumers.

As the Product Manager, this person will be involved in the creating the next generation of Video services with a distinct focus on breaking new ground and capturing additional market share.

The role interfaces with and manages all aspects of product design, development and takes to market strategy development.

The Product Manager - Broadband Entertainment, Video Experience role will be based out of downtown Toronto, and will report in to the Senior Product Manager.

In this fast paced environment, you are an organized, tenacious self-starting product manager with a high bar for innovation and usable products, as well as high aptitude for detail and complexity. Our client has a requirement for eBusiness Developer for Permanent, Full-Time opportunity. The positions are located in Mississuaga, Ontario


Requirements or Qualifications

The Opportunity

The eBusiness Developer is accountable to administer, maintain, enhance, and develop corporate e-business systems, working with customers and internal users to effectively manage and enhance website content.


Duties include:

•Perform analysis on websites and make recommendation
•Administer user security, ensure website security, and ensure that data is backed up
•Troubleshoot application problems and test and deploy solutions
•Provide usage reports
•Work with customers and internal users to effectively manage and enhance website content
•Develop and enhance Lotus Domino e-business applications and interfaces with site users, business groups, and US head office
•Write programs to create and publish content, and ensure that content is up to date
•Enhance or develop applications that will increase effectiveness of the e-business sites
•Perform analysis on websites to make recommendations to improve the sites as necessary, and provide site usage reports to e-business committees and management


What you bring:

•Completed post-secondary education (specialty in Computer Science or Computer Programming)
•5 years of general programming experience
•Expert knowledge of Lotus Notes, Lotus Script and Domino Designer.
•Experience with data warehousing/data mining. Experience with BIRT a definite asset.
•Fluency with web technologies: JavaScript, HTML4/HTML5, CSS, XML, JSON, JAVA, J2EE
•Expert knowledge of JavaScript and at least one of the prevalent JS libraries (Ext JS, Sencha Touch, Prototype, jQuery, etc.)
•Strong knowledge of object-oriented JavaScript concepts and patterns (creating from scratch and editing existing code)
•Proven experience developing interfaces in IE6-IE8, Safari, Firefox and Chrome
•Experience with Spring Framework, MVC, JPA/Hibernate, Tomcat, JBOSS, Subversion
•High attention to detail and a habit of keeping current with cutting-edge technologies
