Our client has a requirement for a Technical Analyst for a 4 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

A number of manually run jobs (recurring) need to be executed. We are looking for someone to take over manually recurring jobs from the developers. There are “how to” instructions for executing these jobs and run reports as well as support from the developers. Existing documentation requires updating – documentation skills are needed.

Jobs:

SQL, MS Access, updating Excel files, interacting with developers, data movement, generating reports, running SSIS Packages, potentially running SAS jobs on the mainframe, etc

This role is a production support role. Person needs to be able to able to understand jobs and report to developers and/or end users if there are issues.

The Delivery Excellence Group will be implementing a standard process for managers to plan out projects. They will be introducing an Excel based estimation tool to ensure that managers complete their due diligence regarding project planning.

Within the Delivery Excellence Program: The Enterprise Estimation Tool Implementation Lead will be responsible for moving to a risk focused standard enterprise estimation process and tool for technology project & solutions delivery and work closely with the Methodology & Tools Lead to implement governance to track/foster adherence as well as establish the required support framework. Program areas include: SDLC/PMLC standards and adherence, Requirements Analysis, Risk and Issues Management, Governance and Gating, Project Management Skills and Capabilities, along with Performance Measurement and reporting.

It will be the Lead’s accountability to ensure that the output of the work-stream be aligned with the overall mission and vision of the Delivery Excellence Program.

Other accountabilities include: - develop and track Stream Project Plan, ensuring deliverables are met on time and budgets are managed accordingly
- provide timely updates and reporting to the Delivery Excellence Program Manager and the Methodology & Tools Lead
- participate as Core Team member of the Delivery Excellence Advisory Committee
- Provide input for the coordination and delivery of communications, training and for organizational change management

Requirement or Qualifications:

Top Must Have Skills include: - High level of proficiency using MS Office PC software and in particular advanced level in Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint
- comprehensive knowledge of PMLC and SDLC processes with at least 7 years related experience
- able to document in SharePoint
- PMP designation
- Bilingual (English/French) preferred

Ideal candidate would have the following: - Previous experience with regards to planning, coordinating, deployment and training would be the ideal profile. This is a customized tool – so any previous experience with customized roll outs or having worked closely with a design team would be preferred.

Our client has a requirement for a Technical Analyst for a 3 month (+ extension) contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

The candidate will review file feeds (transactions received) from financial institutions and ensure the feed is loaded properly; otherwise, this individual would need to investigate further and ensure file feeds are completed. The candidate would also need to follow-up if there are any alerts that the source may not have received or if there are any loading errors.

The individual would be dealing with end users, Reconciliation team, and users who would need access to the system. The individual would be a technical support analyst and respond to emails and phone calls and would need to be proactive to know where to look - ie., current or archive files. Ensure systems deliverables are met.

This individual will take a leadership role in working with and liaising with business partners to provide research, analysis and documentation of business process improvement opportunities and business requirements. Provide leadership for the provision of technical expertise in development and support of activities, processes, procedures and tools for protecting information security with a focus on application security Plan, coordinate and supervise complex informatics assignments; design and apply new methods and procedures. Solve business problems by providing detailed technical advice. Coordinate, lead and monitor technical systems inquiries. Liaise with vendors and service suppliers. Support and lead solutions with service providers. Certify satisfactory contract performance for systems development

The individual would be working also be rotated every two to three weeks to carry a pager and respond to after-hours or weekend questions and follow-up on issues.


Requirements or Qualifications

•Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task are critical to this role.
•Needs to have experience with Explorer, IBM Host and desktop support.
•Required to understand new business requirements, conduct business analysis.
•Knowledge of products and systems process in order to define and document business systems requirements for business unit.
•Provide consultation as required through project life cycle.
•Collaborate and manage relationships with business leaders, IT groups and vendors to ensure issues are communicated clearly and accurately
•Effective identify, define and document detailed business and system requirements with the involvement of business subject matter experts utilizing the system development life cycle (SDLC) methodology.
•Translate requirements into functional specification, including process flow and data model documents.

TECHNICAL ANALYST - ECOMMERCE & MULTICHANNEL - bilingual


JOB OBJECTIVE

As part of the Client's E-Commerce and Multi-channel IT team, the Technical Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and resolving technical issues in the e-commerce and store systems, as well as participate in the software maintenance and infrastructure deployment of e-commerce and multichannel retail solutions.


STATUS

The Technical Analyst reports to the IT Director for e-commerce and store systems, working closely with the Project Manager, E-Commerce and Multi-channel.


KEY RESPONSABILITIES

•Technical support of e-commerce, point-of-sale and multichannel systems. Analyse the more complex technical issues to determine root cause and recommend solutions and escalation path with 3rd party vendors.
•Monitor site performance criteria, proactively identify problem areas, and recommend measures for improvement.
•Monitor data integrity of interfaces, automate and optimize integration tasks.
•Administer activities associated with technology and infrastructure upgrades and deployments.
•Participate in the quality review of technical and integration specifications and make recommendations as required.
•Maintain network and infrastructure documents and diagrams.
•Assess technical feasibility of implementations of new modules or 3rd party applications
•Assess architecture recommendations including: application interfaces, master data management, choice of infrastructure technology.
•Review functional specifications and identify technological solutions to improve the business process and cross-channel integration
•Provide ad hoc data extractions to support defect resolution, application tuning or integration improvements
•Level 2 support rotation for e-commerce and multi-channel applications


KEY REQUIREMENTS

•College or Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field (Computer Science, E-commerce, etc.)
•2-3 years of experience in technical support (Level 2 or higher).
•Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to communicate technical, functional and business concepts.
