Our client has a requirement for .NET Developer for a 5 months contract opportunity. The positions are located in Toronto.

This group is currently preparing to launch a database conversion project (transactional data). They currently have IBM DB2 and are converting to SQL Server 2008.

 

 Qualified Candidates will have

• Strong knowledge of ASP.NET , HTML & SQL programming languages
• Experience building web applications in an enterprise environment
• Experience with MSRS, MSBI, SSRS Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team (proactive, inquisitive and self sufficient)
• Strong communication skills as they will be working closely with business stakeholders
• .Net – 4-6 years
• HTML – 2-4 years

Job Description

Our GTA client has a requirement for a Senior Software Developer to join their team. This is a 6 month contract located in Toronto.

Description of Duties:

•  Deliver enhancements to existing suite of products.
•  Implement new components and workflows as prescribed by the Product Management, Architecture and Product Development teams.
•  Create low-level designs from requirements and system specifications or based on verbal communication as prescribed in an Agile/SCRUM execution mode.

Mandatory Skills:

•  In depth experience with Microsoft .NET development with C#, ASP.Net
•  In depth experience with the Visual Studio 2010 product suite.
•  In depth experience developing data driven components for MS SQL Server 2005 or 2008.
•  Hands on experience with Ajax, HTML, JQuery JSON, XML, JavaScript and CSS development
•  Hands on experience with Web Services development (ASP.Net & WCF)

Nice To Have:

•  Team Leadership skills
•  Familiar with Agile/Scrum
•  Familiar with RESTful application/web-service development

Our client has a requirement for a Senior .Net Developer for a 70 day contract.  The position is located in Ottawa.

Requirements or Qualifications

Qualified Candidates will be a Senior developer with good client facing skills and experience with full SDLC to perform development and maintenance of web application in. ASP and C# .Net.  , and have:

• Demonstrated experience working with a Federal Government of Canada department within the last three (3) years.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and writing user requirements
• Demonstrated experience in developing functional specifications
• Demonstrated experience in developing technical specifications, and
• Demonstrated experience in performing fit/gap analyses
• Minimum of six (6) months demonstrated experience using MS-Visual Studio Team Foundation System in a development role.
• Demonstrated experience developing or integrating applications using at least one (1) of the following domain models: Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Model Driven Architecture (MDA) and/or Domain Driven Design (DDD) in a Federal Government of Canada department where these have been formally implemented.
• Minimum of six (6) months demonstrated experience managing Teams of developers using MS-Visual Studio Team Foundation System.
• Secret Cleared.

Job Description

- Hands on senior NET Developer developer/designer with good WPF/WCF experience, with strong knowledge of SDLC best practices, strong problem solving attitude, analytical skills, and team-player.
- Perform programming assignments in .NET technologies using consolidated SDLC best pratics
- Good knowledge in GUI programming, C# / Visual Studio .NET (WPF/WCF, XAML, Prism, Markup Extensions, UserControls, Reflection, Multi-Threading)
- Oracle experience and able of constructing complex queries using SQL
- Experience in developing component oriented loosely coupled highly cohesive software
- Experience in developing multi-tier applications, Client/Server development, and WCF
- Experience with Object-Oriented Design concepts and patterns (MVVM, Dependency Injection, Commands, etc.)
- Strong experience with C#, WPF on major versions of the .NET Framework, Visual Studio 2008/2010,
- Demonstrated capability to write, debug, test and document code
- Ability to support all applications through their full life cycle of design,code, unit test, and maintenance.
- Major asset - fixed-income/credit finance and investment banking of related business domain background of past experiences
