Our client has a requirement for a Senior Program Manager for a 6 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Role
Our client is looking for a Senior Program Manager with a hybrid background (IT and Finance). This candidate will be working on early stages of pre-planning and planning stages of a large project initiative.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
· Working on early stages of pre-planning and planning stages of a large project initiative
· Working with various stakeholders to come up with strategy, timelines and put together early stages of pre-planning and planning stages of a large initiative
· Complying with the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodology (PMLC) - including development of project documentation of system requirements, estimates of scope and cost
- Working closely with the business constituents of the release, interprets business needs in technical terms, and coordinate with the program team to ensure adherence to all standards and processes
· Providing a balanced approach and establish effective relationships across multiple business and technology partners, program and project managers
· Investigating, escalating and ensuring that all issues are effectively resolved
Requirements or Qualifications
Qualified Candidates will have:
· Strong experience in Oracle EBS / PeopleSoft, Hyperion reporting / planning tools and financial consolidation tools
· 7-10 years of Project Management / experience in managing Financial systems and ERP implementation teams
· Proficiency in the use of PMLC and SDLC methodologies
· Banking experience
· PMP is an asset
· University or relevant equivalent education or degree in Finance
· Relevant work experience in technology with a broad understanding across multiple IT and Finance disciplines
· Knowledge of technology standards (e.g., infrastructure, architecture, processes, applications) and managing people/projects
· Project management experience on multiple IT projects with an understanding across multiple IT disciplines
· Proven track record for success having demonstrated the ability to take independent action to achieve results
· Exceptional strategic thinking, planning and relationship skills
· Working knowledge of project management processes, relevant products/tools involved
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills with good presentation skills
· Ability to transform strategic ideas into practical solutions
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to build strong relationships with business partners, vendors and IT teams
· Management skills including financial and accounting operations management and program/project management skills and experience
· Professional development skills such as oral and written communications, personal credibility, teamwork and collaboration, work planning, and estimating
- Strategic skills such as business diagnosis and assessment, finance assessment and strategy, financial analysis, market analysis, and pricing
