Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for a DataPower Specialist for a 6 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Mississauga.

Role:
The incumbent will work within the change management guidelines to install, configure, deploy, and support WESB and DataPower systems within DEV, SYS, PAT, and Production environments. Provide warranty period support for new application / system deployments.
The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for the following;
· Build and deploy DataPower and WESB based infrastructures with an emphasis on DataPower web service mediations – in support of SOA based business solutions
- Applied experience in deploying configuring and troubleshooting application (mediation) within WebSphere Enterprise Service BUS
- Applied experience with XML technologies including: XML, XSDs, XSLT and related tools
- Engage in business projects to configure, troubleshoot and deploy business web services within DataPower and WESB
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues that arise in the ESB infrastructure (environment, hardware, performance, etc…)
- Working knowledge of SSL technologies including configuring SSL, AAA/SSL mutual authentication
- Excellent UNIX (AIX preferred) experience
- Ability to ask probing questions to understand the various concepts presented/discussed
- Some project management and negotiation experience would be an asset.
- Implementing infrastructure, configuring run times to support these technologies
- Diagnosing problems and resolving these challenges
- Must have strong understanding and experience with creating process flow
- The incumbent will be interacting with both internal and external technical community
- Must have experience from an enterprise-level environment
- System capacity planning and maintenance is a key aspect of this role.

• Excellent Windows Server 2000 and 2003 admin experience (3+ years of experience)
• HPUX experience a definite asset. (3+ years of experience)
• IIS experience (3+ years of experience)
• WESB technical experience (3+ years)
• Ability to ask probing questions to understand the various concepts presented/discussed
• Excellent communication skills
• comfortable with working in a rapidly changing, technically complex environment.
• Some project management and negotiation experience would be an asset.
• Thorough understanding of PMLC and SDLC processes.
• Some after-hours\weekend and rotating pager support required
