Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for Database Specialist for a 6 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto. This role requires translating a user’s business needs into specific data elements, leveraging your existing knowledge of what such a database should contain.

Responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing the existing Data warehouse, compare to functional specs given by the client to identify data gaps.
- Knowing where to source info identified in the gaps and adding it to the Data Warehouse.
- Working with client to close the gaps by integrating data from multiple internal and external sources in order to help close deals faster and track open deals more efficiently.
- Experience with Oracle, SQL Server and DB2.
Requirement or Qualifications:
Qualified Candidates will have:
- 5-7 years of experience in building Merger and Acquisition Data models and data bases, most likely for an Investment bank, hedge fund, or private equity fund.
- Solid Data Architect/DBA background required in order to add or modify the existing data warehouse
