Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for a C++ Developer for a 6 month contract opportunity. The position is located in downtown Ottawa. The candidate will be part of a fast growing team within the Browser group. The person will be responsible for developing the next generation webkit browser for Smart TV's. Your responsibilities will include browser software application development, algorithm analysis, software porting, integration, debugging and optimization on various chipsets running Linux and VxWorks.

Qualified Candidates will have:

• 3+ years of experience in C and C++ software development and integration
• Strong Linux development experience
• Designing and building fast, reliable, multi-threaded, Linux application software and SDKs
• Excellent debugging, problem solving, and testing skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, juggling multiple projects
• Bachelor of Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of Qt and Android platform is preferable
• Knowledge of web standards including HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, SVG is an asset
• Knowledge or experience with open-source browsers including WebKit, Chromium, Mozilla is an asset
• Knowledge or experience with integrating and using low-level graphics libraries such as Cairo and OpenGL is an asset
