Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for .NET Developer for full-time opportunity.  The positions are located in Baton Rouge.

                             

Required Skills:

• Object Orientated Software Development in the following environment:  C#, Visual Basic.NET, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, XML, CSS, T-SQL, XSLT, .NET Framework 2.0 – 4.0, ASP.NET WebForms, ADO.NET, WCF, ASMX Web Services, Ajax, Classic ASP, jQuery, SQL Server 2005/2008, IIS6, IIS7, TFS
• Experience: SharePoint 2007/2010, BizTalk, Sybase, DB2, ARR, Crystal Reports
• Previous experience as a software development team lead, preferably on a .NET web based application architecture and design
• Previous experience of successful knowledge-transfer to other team members
• Demonstrated industry best practices in software design and development throughout the SDLC process
• Advanced understanding of OOP, S.O.L.I.D. principles, agile methodologies and object oriented design patterns
• Previous SharePoint 2007/2010 application development with webparts, event receivers, workflows, content management and content deployment is highly desirable
• A working knowledge of BizTalk development and architecture
• Solid knowledge of relational database design and concepts
• Experience with MSBuild and TFSBuild projects
• Ability to profile .NET applications, T-SQL, and JavaScript for performance issues using various tools such as perfmon, the Visual Studio Analyzer, SQL Profiler, FireBug, and the F12 development tools. Proficiency in similar profiling tools, such as Jet Brain’s dot Trace
• Any experience with SharePoint 2010 upgrade preferred
• Good Communication and negotiation skills in order to interact with site peers, local management and executives on technical issues and project planning
• Has demonstrated creativity in assignments and leadership in technical field of specialization
• Has made extensive use of improved programming/analysis technology

Responsibilities

• work on integration across multiple platforms and multiple software packages 
• perform critical evaluation and selection of software and hardware components of the application 
• prepare for the development of the application by evaluation and selection of development methodologies and tools 
• be responsible for performance, availability and scalability of applications 
• consults with clients to refine applications and to meet with customer regulation management 

Requirements or Qualifications

Qualified Candidates will have:

• Have worked for a large organization that have similar types of experience 
• Business unit or vertical experience in the Life and Health Insurance industry or credit card experience 
• Strong communication skills – tactical and strategic, excellent interpersonal skills and engaged
• Team environment involved in getting into solutioning – both tactical and strategic; open and collaborative 
• Been involved in dialogue and engagement of an end-to-end solution
• Experience with multiple platforms and cross-platform integration (Unix, Oracle, IBM)  
• Previous experience in Solutions Architecture and/or Application and Data Architecture as well as experience developing systems in a team environment
• Understanding of .Net is useful
• System Development Life Cycle 
• Good understanding of Performance availability and scalability of applications
• Experience with Acord XML Standard, Ingenium or CSC Sole Corp
