Looking for a software verification tester with experience working on optical network products for 6 month contract.
Start date is July 2 2012 for 6 months with possibility of extension. Work is on site located in Ottawa Ontario Canada.
Qualifications and duties:
- Experience with embedded systems testing (installing target software, card setup, antistatic procedures)
- Experience with optical networking (optical fiber handling, laser safety, power monitoring)
- Experience analyzing and characterizing optical, hardware and software failures
- Experience with report preparation using MS Office tools
- Execute and report the results of automated and manual tests
- Design test cases to validate the operation of critical product features
- Apply best practices and contribute to the ongoing improvement of process and test execution
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
- Experience with Python/Tcl/VB6 is an asset
