Our client has a requirement for Systems Analyst for a perm opportunity. The positions are located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Requirements or Qualifications
•Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
•Proven experience in Enterprise Analysis
•Ability to lead and coordinate delivery of systems analyst teams which includes defining a vision and coaching to influence individuals towards that vision
•Ability to provide leadership and consultative services to Senior Management (IS and Business)
•Experience working as a senior Systems Analyst on complex, strategic assignments with significant budget, effort, and business impact.
•Ability to apply critical thinking skills which includes analyzing and evaluating information and situations, problem solving, decision making, and conceptualizing
•Ability to work as part of a virtual team
•Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills that rely on a structured approach to problem solving
•Functional systems analysis & design
•Logical Data Modeling
•UML
•Requirements management
•Strong knowledge of Use Cases and Use Case modeling
•Solid understanding of I.S. methodologies, process and practices
•Strong written and verbal communication
•Strong understanding of technology /information systems
•Effective planning and organizational skills
•Effective internal consulting skills with a strong customer service orientation
•Strong facilitation skills
Desirable:
Business Process modeling
Rational Unified Process (RUP)
Nice to have: knowledge and experience in applying IBM's IAA (Insurance Application Architecture)
Nice to have: insurance and financial services industry knowledge
Level of expertise required:
•Minimum 5 to 8 years experience in business/systems analysis
•Degree in related discipline (Commerce/Management Information Systems, Business Administration, etc.)
•Good understanding of business principles and experience with a broad range of different types of business functions;
•Communicates in a clear and concise manner, both written and verbal, that is appropriate for the audience;
•Good interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment;
•Ability to adapt to change and perform
Key Accountabilities:
You will maintain a "business perspective" through all phases of the problem resolution and systems enhancement. You will work closely with your Business Partners to understand their business needs, opportunities and requirements. Working in a team environment, you will be responsible for:
•Defining and maintaining business architecture through conceptual business models
◦Defining business problems/opportunities, providing clear definition and performing benefit analysis
◦Performing business and systems analysis and design, articulating the logical design alternatives and recommending appropriate solutions
◦Performing functional analysis and design, defining and documenting detailed business requirements and leading the usability perspective of the project
◦Working with quality assurance team members to ensure adequate testing, and that the system meets business expectations
◦Contributing to training strategies and business implementation planning
■Providing leadership to business partners and team members

Business Analyst / Level 2
Job Description
The services and deliverables to be provided will include the following:
Deliverables
•Gather and define business processes and requirements in order to further evolve OHRS/MIS standards
•Recommend solutions to accounting and finance issues related to OHRS/MIS standards
•Advise & develop OHRS/MIS training related to OHRS/MIS standard changes & updates
•Develop indicators and benchmark across sectors
•Data Quality analysis and issue identification and resolutions
•Analyze data submissions and recommends accounting and finance solutions related to OHRS/MIS standards
•Provide support to the CHC sector
•Provide input to the project on CHC business direction and reporting requirements
•Advise project on approaches to communication and training for the CHC sector
•Act as a liaison between the project & CHC mgt., CHC Advisory Working Group(s)
•Assisting & working closely with CHC Business Lead in all aspects of the development & maintenance of the OHRS/MIS Financial standards for the CHC sector as required
•Support requirement gathering process for financial/statistical system through engagement with sector representatives
Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•Experience in financial and business analysis
•Proficient with different methods of requirements gathering such as interviewing, data modeling and business process modeling.
•Experience and understanding of OHRS/MIS standards and CHC specific OHRS.
•Understanding of business modeling techniques/tools.
•Experience in one or more of the following areas:
•Feasibility analysis of standards implementation and integration
•Developing financial standards and business processes
•Standards document development and financial scenario analysis
•Developing/creating complex financial matrix, financial indicators and financial analysis
•Ability to create new financial documents/reports based on the OHRS/MIS
•Awareness of emerging healthcare trends
•Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; oral and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills, detailed oriented, possessing superior organization and follow-up skills in a high-volume environment
•Ability to convey technical and standards information to non-technical stakeholders.
•A team player with a proven track record for meeting strict deadlines and will support other team members as required
•Experience in a healthcare environment
•Experience in Ontario Community Care sector
•Technical Skills – requires knowledge and experience working with current office productivity tools (MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint (must have) and Access (preferably)

• Minimal travel required on an as needed basis

Our GTA client has a requirement for a Business Analyst for a 6 month contract located in Toronto.
This role is suited to someone with experience in financial and business analysis and is proficient in using different methods of requirements gathering such as interviewing, data modeling and business process modeling specifically healthcare reporting standards.
Must Have Skills:
•Experience in a healthcare environment
•Minimum 2 years experience in the healthcare sector, accounting and finance experience and familiar with the MIS/OHRS standards
•Technical Skills – requires knowledge and experience working with current computer software systems (Microsoft Excel (must have) and Access (preferably)
•Must have formal accounting education
