Job Description
Our client has a requirement for Infrastructure Support Specialist for a 6 month contract opportunity. The positions are located in Toronto.
Requirements or Qualifications
Deliverables
•Prepare documents and report status to Delivery Lead
•Installing and configuring Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics Financial systems
•Installing and configuring Quadrant HR software
•Identify tasks necessary for implementation in each HSP and support the HSPs in monitoring progress against tasks
•Assist HSPs in analyzing needs for conversion of data from existing systems for amalgamation of databases and creating processes to ensure high quality and effective conversions and implementation
•Communicate with users regarding issues with configurations
•Resolve escalated issue from team members
•Prepare documents and report status to the Application Lead
•Resolve issues from team members and organization users
Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•A minimum of 5 – 6 years relevant working experience
•University Degree or relevant certification (MCP/MCSA/MCSE preferred) in this area or equivalent industry experience.
•In-depth knowledge and experience of installing and configuring Windows servers and database servers.
•In-depth knowledge and experience of installing and configuring Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics Financial systems
•Excellent written and oral communications skills
•Experience in high paced, multi-task, multi-application support environments.
•Experience in deploying and upgrading multiple applications in a highly-available environment.
•Experience in the healthcare environment particularly business systems.
•Experience with Quadrant HR software
•Experience with Hyperic monitoring application
•Experience with Splunk log management software
•Experience with Shavlik patch management software
•Experience with Jira ticketing system.
•Demonstrated success working with external clients to understand and gather requirements.
Other
•Travel throughout Ontario as required

About the Job
Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for Technology Infrastructure Support Specialist / Level 2 for a 6 month contract opportunity. The positions are located in Toronto
Deliverables
- Responsible for deployments and troubleshooting of network & security solutions for the Ministry.
- Responsible for network security solution design, implementation & on-going Ministry support
- Responsible for analysis of network health, availability & performance for all Ministry networks
- Responsible for all Secure Remote Access solutions for CCIM (solution design, implementation and on-going support)
- Responsible for maintaining Production, Pre-Production, Training & related testing environments
- Maintain deployment guides and supporting documentation such as run books, build books and network diagrams
- Ensure that Personal Information (PI) and Personal Health Information (PHI) and other sensitive data in networked software applications is properly secured as per privacy and security policy
- Provide after-hours and on-call support and implementation, as required
- Regularly work with software/hardware vendors
- Implement, maintain and support the network hardware (appliance or server) environment, and related infrastructure, as required
- Provide support to System Administrators with respect to: server builds and configuration; and application set-up and configuration.
- Strong in TCP/IP, Layer 3 routing protocols, Cisco IOS for switches and routers
- WAN and LAN technologies, network design & architecture
- Work with DBA's, Systems Engineers and other support staff to support database/system/application requirements as they pertain to the network infrastructure
- Liaise with vendors to update network applications according to requirements
- Deliver the project tasks as requested by the Project Manager
Requirement or Qualifications:
- University Degree or relevant industry experience.
- Strong in TCP/IP, Layer 3 routing protocols, Cisco IOS for switches and routers
- WAN and LAN technologies, network design and architecture
- Knowledge and experience building, maintaining and supporting:
- Cisco switching and routing solution/environment
- RSA Security Console (token-based PKI) security solution
- Medium/large scale network-health and availability monitoring solutions
- Windows Server Environment
- Citrix Netscaler
- Check Point FW-1, VPN-1 and Connectra solution/environment
- Experience with Citrix Xenapp
- Experience with Hyperic Monitoring Solutions
- Experience in high paced, multi-task, multi-application support environments.
- Experience working in environments meeting aggressive SLAs.
- Good understanding of change management process.
- Experience with cross functional team support in an operations and/or infrastructure group.
- Experience with business groups and application support.
- Experience in the healthcare environment, particularly business systems.
- Operations experience in a technical health care environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with Cisco VOIP Solutions including:
- Cisco Unified Call Manager
- Cisco Unity
- Cisco Unified Contact Center Express- list of requirements
