About the Job
Our client has a requirement for Business Analyst/Level 2 for a 6 month contract opportunity. The positions are located in downtown Toronto.
Deliverables
- Proficient in using different methods of requirements gathering: interviewing, data modeling, business process modeling, business object modeling and user interface design
- Support implementation of financial/statistical software solution/applications
- Provide the project with priorities from LTCH clients
- Work with LTCH clients to develop the implementation sequence and timing for the project.
- Write requirements specifications identifying steps and processes.
- Advise the project on approaches to communication and training of LTCH organizations.
- Provide input to the project on LTCH business direction and requirements.
- Provide liaison between the project and LTCH management, LTCH MIS working group and Solutions Group.
- Plan, schedule, guide and/or execute systems analysis and functional design activities.
- Analyze and design enhancements to existing systems.
- Ensure that project deliverables conform to the clients' development standards and provide guidance/instruction to other project team members as necessary to achieve quality assurance objectives.
- Maintain an appropriate knowledge of technology (MS Dynamics)
- Create user documentation
Qualifications - Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Business Analyst
- Experience working with a financial software and Integration, preferably MS Dynamics GP
- Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles
- Excellent communication, facilitation, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to write clear and detailed functional specifications and documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detailed operational knowledge in office productivity tools ( Word, Excel, Visio, etc)
- Critical thinking and problem solving
Nice to Have
- Identify and implement topics for process improvements
- Identify and define new business processes
