About the Job
Our client has a requirement for Business Systems Analyst for an 8 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.
Requirements
Experience and knowledge of current and emerging information & technology concepts including document management, component based design, business/data modeling methodologies, information management, business intelligence and decision support for a multiple-tiered, multiple-platform, network centric computing environment. You will have experience conducting and planning for divisionally relevant systems such as Work Management, Customer and Revenue Systems, Contact Management, Mobile Computing, RFID, Time and Attendance. You will be experienced in utilizing project management tools for planning and implementing complex projects.
Qualified Candidates will have:
- Demonstrated IT strategic planning and IT strategy development experience in the public sector
- Significant facilitation experience with change initiatives at a senior level
- Strong project management skills and experience
- Demonstrated analytical skills in assessing and reviewing business process to identify options, best practices, and opportunities to improve service delivery
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, presentation and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with City staff and senior management
- Self-motivated in producing and delivering tangible results
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- 5 years experience conducting IT strategic planning initiatives
- 5 years of application systems experience performing requirement gathering, subject matter expert interviews and impact analysis
- 5 years of application systems experience and demonstrated ability to evaluate, recommend and document business workflow, procedures, roles & responsibilities and system enhancement strategies
- 5 years of experience and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain an effective relationship with clients and other business organizations with a strong customer service orientation
