Role:

Our client is looking for a Project Coordinator or Junior Project Manager for a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Center of Excellence (COE) Shared Services Initiative. This role is essential to the project. Success in this position requires flexibility, non-confrontational personality, solid communication skills (oral and written), and reasonable technical acumen. Stakeholders and internal project participants must to enjoy working with this candidate. Candidate must be willing to genuinely roll up their sleeves to get the job done and have an unceasing desire to achieve the enterprise’s goals for the SOA program.

• Part technical and part managerial with a strong emphasis on communication and coordination between departments / groups
• Facilitate department SOA implementation
• In partnership with the SOA backplane (or framework) architects will coordinate and lead the complete production operations and administration of SOA Center of Excellence (COE) across the SDLC
• Create project plans, monitor and report on development, implementation and operations of all SOA COE activities across the full services lifecycle.
• Implement a testing strategy for the SOA backplane across the full services lifecycle.
• Maintain current information about SOA COE on the wiki as well as communicating information outward as needed to the SOA COE constituency.
• Flexibility and desire to help service providers and consumers be successful.
• Willing to work beyond defined boundaries to help service providers and consumers to be successful.

 

Requirements:

• Must be skilled with MS Project and general Project Management duties
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong Project Status Reporting experience
• Solid Project Scope Definition and Management

Our client is looking for a Junior PM to manage multiple smaller projects within a large credit card project. Project – Phase II about to start (5M). There are multiple internal teams and focused on application changes (not infrastructure).

 

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise complex informatics assignments
• Design and apply new methods and procedures
• Coordinate systems development for major applications, define project requirements including information and data needs, business analysis and programming
• Develop, plan, analyze, evaluate and assign priorities to deliverables and requirements
• Define project phases, set deadlines and manage staff
• Develop project plans with milestones
• Coordinate all meeting and interface with business units, staff and service providers
• Sets direction at an operational level, works autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborates with other business heads to establish and execute on common goals
• Manages small-scale applications, programs or projects across multiple technology groups
• Ensures delivery of projects to the business partner, meeting the approved scope/cost/schedule/quality for the project
• Ensures client satisfaction with the project process and project team by effective and timely communication including status reporting, continual risk/issue assessment/management and escalation, and resolution of issues as they arise

 

Requirements or Qualifications

• 4 years Proven leadership skills and experience managing large and complex IT projects
• 4 years Full life cycle development experience
• 4 years Budget tracking experience
• 4 years Credit Card experience
• 4 years SDLC/PMLC experience
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Financial/Banking Industry experience
• Expertise in MS Project, Excel, Visio and Powerpoint
• Experience with proven project methodology tools.
• PMP is an asset

Requirements or Qualifications:

Qualified Candidates will have:

• Agency management experience required
• Business degree with a focus in Marketing, Communications or Information Technology
• Experience managing large, complex and cross functional web development projects
• Strong understanding of digital best practices involving technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, Flash, Silverlight, CSS, XHTML, WPF, SEO and CMS platforms.
• Project management experience with proficiency in project management methodology, tools, best practices and processes (PMP certification an asset)
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills
• Strong attention to detail
• In depth technical knowledge of database design & methodology, web & application design, Internet protocols/standards and computer hardware/software.
• Sense of urgency and able to work under pressure with shifting priorities
• Understanding of agile development methodologies
• Proven organizational skills and the ability to motivate and guide teams to deliver exceptional quality
