• Experience following a testing methodology which includes conducting different types of testing (e.g. System, Unit, Regression, Load and Acceptance)

Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a Test Automation Specialist (Regression Testing Automation) on a 7-month contract term.  The opportunity is located in Calgary.

Synopsis: seeking a qualified individual to assist in the development of regression testing automation and development of processes and standards for script maintenance, user support, test data management and automated regression testing using HP Quick Test Professional.

The Test Automation Lead would be also be responsible to mentor the Shared Services Test Team on automated script development and maintenance using HP Quick Test Pro and HP Quality Center.

• Participate in the creation and review of QA estimates/costs as required

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with project team members

• Exposure to or experience with distributed and host technologies and processes
• Solid system/business testing knowledge and experience
• Strong knowledge of testing methodology within SDLC
• Experience in participating test activities for complex projects involving many participants
• Solid knowledge of testing tools such as HP QC and QTP
• Exceptional ability to pay attention to detail and assess the full impact of system modifications.
• Solid MS Office suite skill
• Strong communication skills - verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills
• Good minute-taking capability
• Flexible and responsive to dynamic needs of the team
• Ability to work independently and on multiple activities with minimum supervision
