• Software testing process (Quality analysis)

Skills and Qualifications 

• 5 to 6 years of experience
• OS: Linux, Solaris, Windows Server 2008 / 2012 
• IBM Web Sphere, Portal server, LDAP (TDS), IBM MQ, IBM TAM
• Great communications skills

Job Description

One of our hiring managers is looking for an Intermediate Development Systems Support Analyst to join their team for a 4 month contract in Toronto, Ontario.

Responsibilities

• This individual will be doing automation work which will involve coding and programming of a specific database. The database has a MS Access front-end and a SQL Server back-end.
• The successful individual will be highly skilled with both of these programs.
• Will be working with a workforce management program
• Will be working with manipulating data feeds and making some coding changes to the main system.
• Individual will also be responsible for assisting with other routine monthly maintenance activities for the bank’s internal systems.

Qualifications

Specific Software programming knowledge

• Must Have: SQL Server 2008 programming experience
• Must Have: MS 2010 Access VBA programming experience
• Preferred (but not required): General MS Office 2010 desktop software programming (Excel)

Business knowledge

• General business process comprehension
• Base Accounting and Finance knowledge (designations/certification not required)
• Information security comprehension

Education/Experience

• Possesses a university degree/college diploma, in computer science or relevant field
• Financial industry experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in an IT related discipline; specifically using SQL Server and MS

Our financial services client is looking for a resource for a 12 month contract.

Summary:

 Apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work. Analyzes user needs, and then designs, tests, and develops software Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required. 5+ years experience required Skills and Competencies: Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage one’s time. Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery. Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues. Knowledge of computer hardware and software. Knowledge of computer development software across multiple platforms. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes. Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions. Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations. Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project. Perform other duties as assigned
