Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for a Senior  ETL DATASTAGE DEVELOPER  for a 6 Month Contract opportunity.  These position is located in Toronto, ON.

Role:

This individual will be working with initiative leads, technical leads, application designers, stakeholders, subject matter experts, technical support groups and test teams to define and accomplish ETL responsibilities. 

Responsibilities include:

• Refine and decompose requirements to the level of detail required to initiate development 
• Design and Deliver ETL and related components as specified in the design, functional and non-functional requirements within established time and quality standards. 
• Design, prototype, develop, test and document existing and new ETL related components; make recommendations for related functions that result in a more cost effective product delivery. 
• Perform unit testing of ETL and related components and document test results 
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, standards compliance, reusability and ease of maintenance 
• Correct testing defects and support all testing, including but not limited to: Development Integration Testing, System Testing, User Acceptance Testing, End-to-End Testing, and Performance Testing. 
• Provide application integration support 
• Perform code version control activities 
• Create and update all necessary documentation for the Project 
• Perform other duties associated with the position, whether or not explicitly directed 
• Ensure design leverages existing reusable components and has traceability to business requirements and ensure new modules are designed with reusability as a key requirement 
• Support production enhancements and implementations 
• Deliver effective and efficient solutions by meeting key project milestones and ensure that the project deliverables are on time and adhere to the corporate quality and security standards 
• Identify and address application and data issues and cross-capability and cross -release issues that affect application integrity 
• Provide technical support for escalated incidents/outages to ensure that they are resolved efficiently with minimal impact to stakeholders 
• Provide input into the Application Deployment Plan

• IBM DataStage hands on coding experience
