Currently we are seeking a strong Sr. QA with for our Service Request Management project. The incumbent will be required to work to understand the business requirements, and apply that knowledge to the validation and testing of the key deliverables within the Service Request Project for all use-cases for all Service Request Management.
The individual will need to work independently to quickly understand the internal organization and effectively lead discussions to obtain the required information from stakeholders and technical teams.

Review BRD, SRS, SDS documentation to understand testing requirements, test environments and objectives. Participate in test planning, assist in preparing various testing documentation (e.g. test strategy, traceability matrix, test plan, defect management plan, schedule etc.) and test results walkthroughs Identify, develop and document test scenarios and/or test cases Configure and implement and/or maintain and validate test data as well as validate test environments Execute test cases within the testing environment, ensuring accuracy and record test results / defects and obtain approval Maintain and provide accurate testing status reports during testing phases and maintain documentation of test results according to defined processes / tools Create testing documentation – test strategies, plans, schedules Report the status of test planning, defects and execution activities Participate in post implementation reviews and processes (e.g. lessons learned, post-install application verification, warranty support reviews etc.) Assist in the preparation of a test result walkthroughs / presentations to the project team and business representatives Apply and follow established testing best practices Complete tasks according to project timelines/schedules and costs Recommend process improvements where appropriate Involvement in meetings and requirement review sessions for the planning phase of testing activities Work with QA Manager/Project managers, development teams and business users to define and document non-functional, functional and regression testing requirements that need to be covered during System Integration Testing. Prepare and provide a handover session to support teams that will be accountable for BAT support

 

Qualifications

• Experience in HP Quality Centre and QTP Automation
• Strong SDLC experience
• Experience with Excel and Word
• Financial/Banking Industry experience
• Hands-on testing, analysis of defects and issues an support BAT activities
• Experience with BRD, SRS, SDS documentation to understand testing requirements, test environments and objectives
• Sound understanding and working knowledge of software development life cycle and project management life cycle
• Knowledge of testing including risk based testing, software development practices and methodologies, version control and defect management practices
• Knowledge of Test Strategy development, Test Planning, Defect Reporting and Test Case design techniques for initiatives ranging from moderate to high complexity
• Good understanding of business workflows, testing tools, products /applications involved and documentation repository practices and working with third party service partners
• Experience in executing test strategy, test plans and test scripts

• Senior level automation position within the team
• Develop high quality automated test scripts according to the requests for non-functional testing (including performance testing) using load runner, performance center, QTP and SOA

• Responsible for troubleshooting issues with the automated scripts during triage if required

• Ability to filter and translate highly technical data from various sources into easy to read reports
• Collaborate with team members.
• Adhere to the Bank’s Test Methodology for ALL stages of testing

 Other Skills

• 7+ years of testing and automation experience in LR or QTP or SOA
• Mastery of industry standard performance testing tools such as HP LoadRunner/Performance Center, VUGen, Analysis
• Experience with performance testing tools such as HP SiteScope, Comuware Dynatrace, iTKO LISA is an asset
• Experience with test management tools such as HP Quality Center.
• Ability to translate business requirements and/or Software Requirements Specifications into automation requirements
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral with the ability to use and describe technical information.
• Good organizational skills coupled with a detail-oriented approach to testing
• Expert knowledge of performance/quality assurance, test methodologies and best practices.

Role

Department Overview: Implementation Services is situated on the critical path of application and Infrastructure implementations. The Business Application Services teams are responsible for testing and deploying the Bank’s business applications. As a member of the Business Application Services team, you will be primarily responsible for operational testing and deployment of application changes into the production environment. The team works with various distributed and mainframe technologies/applications teams. You will also work closely with TS, OAM, Business units and Engineering teams to ensure the successful implementation of products/changes into the production environment. 

Responsibilities

·         Involvement in meetings and requirement review sessions to provide key operational perspectives during the planning phase of projects. 

·         Participate in test planning and creation of Pre-Production test plans 

·         Working with project managers, development teams and business users to define and document non-functional testing requirements that need to be covered during Production Acceptance Testing.

·         Performing the application code install in the Pre-Production Testing environment and executing non-functional testing, this primarily includes operability testing and negative testing. 

·         Perform defined operability and deployment tasks in a secure production acceptance environment prior to deployment. 

·         Supporting performance and load testing within the Pre-Production environments. 

·         Ensure adequate test coverage through the use of manual and automated test scripts. 

·         Tracking and reporting on defects and corresponding changes to application code that are required during Pre-Production 

·         Scheduling change records and deploying application changes into the Production environment. 

·         Ensure the safe deployment of quality Business Applications to the Bank’s production environment infrastructures. 

·         Ensure that all changes implemented into Production environment do not cause any Production impacts outside of the prescribed implementation 

·         Preparing and providing a handover session to Infrastructure Technology Solutions teams that will be accountable for application support, once changes are promoted to Production
