Our client has a requirement for a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager for a 14 Month Contract opportunity. The position is located in Mississauga.

Requirements or Qualifications

• Ensure project control procedures and policies are met
• Investigate, resolve, and report back on day-to-day matters assigned to him/her including ongoing coordination with upstream integration partners
• Maintain a project plan, budget, and ensure delivery of agreed scope by team members including vendor resources
• Develop presentations and conduct reasoned ad-hoc analysis as needed
• Liaise between the project team, vendors, business, executives, and ITS stakeholders
• Balance technical ideals with real-world risk, budget, and time considerations,
• Manage and prioritize workload and look for opportunities to exceed expectations, and
• Understand, plan, and orchestrate the Deployment Plan (incl. “conversion weekend”).

Must Haves

• Effectiveness and ability to get things done with an eye to speed, flexibility, and cost
• Strong desire to collaborate, do what’s needed, and communicate clearly
• Strong administrative orientation (e.g. managing detail, following process, etc.)
• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple commitments with different deadlines,
• Understanding of PMLC/SDLC/requirements/development/testing at a detailed-level
• Understanding of ITS (preferably), and ETNS (ideally)
• Ability to work effectively with a mix of colleagues: distant, vendor, executive, contractor, internal, business, etc.
• Willingness to travel to/within the Greater Toronto Area on a limited basis, and possibly Ottawa or Regina on an occasional basis
• Optimism, positive attitude, and a sense of humor.

Our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager with a combined Infrastructure PM experience / Program Manager experience to work on a number of large projects. This individual will be dealing with various stakeholders across all lines of businesses. 

Responsibilities  

• Plan, coordinate and supervise complex assignments 
• Design and apply new methods and procedures 
• Coordinate systems development for major applications, define project requirements including information and data needs, business analysis and programming. 
• Develop, plan, analyze, evaluate and assign priorities to deliverables and requirements
• Define project phases, set deadlines and manage staff
• Develop project plans with milestones
• Coordinate all meeting and interface with business units, staff and service providers
• Oversight and execution of multiple projects and project managers
• Managing broad and highly complex teams and projects involving significant scope and complexity
• Setting direction at an operational level, works autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborating with other business heads to establish and execute on common goals
• Directing or managing large-scale applications, programs or projects across multiple product lines, involving significant scope and complexity
• Ensuring delivery of projects to the business partner, meeting the approved scope/cost/schedule/quality for the project
• Performing a governing role for, ensuring that the proposal, execution, control, deployment, training and hand off, warranty support, and closure meet promised schedules
• Performing risk identification and mitigation activities, escalating unresolved issues to the Executive and / or Steering Committee where appropriate to secure their timely decisions/support
• Managing the acquisition and deployment of resources, including budget, by working with the Project Managers to secure the resources required for the project
• Ensuring client satisfaction with the project process and project team by effective and timely communication including status reporting, continual risk/issue assessment/management and escalation, and resolution of issues as they arise.
• Working with and influencing senior level leaders and partner with other IT Managers.

• 6+ years infrastructure PM experience / Program Manager hands on experience
• Large project initiatives experience
• PMLC / SDLC experience
• Financial Industry / Banking Experience 
• MS Project, Visio, Excel, Word experience
• PMP certified
• ITIL certified
