Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for SAP Enterprise Warehouse Management (eWM) Consultant for 2 months renewable contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

 Over and above resolving incidents and delivering minor enhancements, this resource will be required to guide and lead a team of on-site and off-shore resources.  As well, the candidate will be expected to perform knowledge transfer and pass on his eWM expertise to the client’s team

Requirement or Qualifications:

The Systems Analyst in the Retail area is responsible for the overall operation, maintenance and support of the Retail application and its components. The Systems Analyst role involves an in-depth understanding Retail, WMS. POS and business practices and project management. The individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve related system issues, identify alternatives for optimizing system requirements and performance and be a key contributor to the overall success of the Retail group. 

Write technical procedures and documentation for the Retail Application including operations and support, design specifications, user guides, etc* 

Create complex reports in the existing application to meet changing user requirements. 

Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss progress and issues to be resolved, and report progress on a weekly basis to the Senior Manager.

About the Job

The Retail Systems Delivery team is responsible for providing project management, business analysis and development services in support of the development and ongoing maintenance of Our in-store applications as well as other projects as identified by the business. Our Development Team takes great pride in delivering high-quality ISeries and POS application solutions to Our Retail's chain of 468 associate stores. As an experienced Senior Programmer Analyst you will be involved in all aspects and phases of the application development life cycle and work directly with business analysts, developers and quality assurance to ensure the on-time delivery of high-quality software solutions for our associate stores.


Requirements:

POS Programmer Analyst of business solutions

•Develops and/or maintains application programs of high complexity.
•Create detail design documentation.
•Prepares, executes and documents test strategies and executes tests for unit, systems and performance testing.
•Assists and supports Quality Assurance Testing.
•Assists Support Services investigate and resolve production problems.
•Escalate and/or reports system problems to Team Lead.
•Participate and review project deliverables in structured walk through (presentation of application systems to/with project team members and user) during various stages of the development process.
•Provides estimates for change requests and projects.
•Production support may lead to periodic irregular work hours including weekends.
•Provides weekly status and work assignments progress reports.


Qualified Candidates will have:

•Strong application development background, technical knowledge, and experience working in a large team.
•5+ years experience developing and supporting POS application using C/C++ in a client/server environment on XPe and Window 2000 platform
•Knowledge and experience with the following programming languages and technologies: C, C++, SQL, Window Scripting and Microsoft Visual Studio.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Motivated self-starter.
•Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
•Strong time management and organization skills.
•Quality and results focused.
•Retail experience preferred but not required.


EDUCATION:

A university degree or college diploma in computer studies (or an equivalent certificate) is required.

Our client in banking sector is looking for Intermediate Level - Strong experience with BASE24-pos release 6.0 configurations of Acquirer (SPDH) and Issuer payment networks (interchanges), hosts and routing as well as stand-in functionality as well as programming skills (i.e. TAL, TACL and COBOL). An understanding of the operations aspects of a production implementation of BASE24 is also preferred.

The work requires that the candidate adhere to the documented development processes, conforming to the TD SDLC and audit requirements. This involves Configuration Change Management, Test plans and specification of simulator test cases surrounding the coding and testing that the candidate and the team produce.

Key accountabilities are:
• Delivering technical documentation and solutions according to System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
• Provide detailed development estimates to Development Lead for development effort as well as regular status reporting.
• Configuration management tracking all environment changes.
• Development of end-to-end certification test plans, test cases and associated test execution and result reporting efforts.
• Execution of certification test scripts and evaluation of the test results using Visa, Master Card, Amex and Interac EMV development standards.
• Provide technical support to testing team during testing phases. Update and resolve assigned defects.
• Data set up and environment shake down.
• Knowledge transfer within group.
• Ensure required documentation is housed in the project repository and that knowledge transfer has occurred to full time staff through the contract term.
