Our client has a requirement for two Level 2 Systems Analysts for a long term contract opportunity.  The positions are located in Ottawa, Ontario.

Requirement or Qualifications:

Qualified Candidates will have:

• 5+ years experience as a Systems Analyst in a developmental or operational environment
• 2+ years experience as a Systems Analyst in the last 5 years within a RDM environment or a collaboration environment
• 2+ years experience developing applications/systems specifications within the last  5 years
• 2+ years experience in the last 5 years working with prototype design, development, testing and integration analysis
• 2+ years  experience working with a Government information systems environment  within the last 5 years
• 2+ years experience creating, maintaining and reviewing technical documentation

DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY


Job Purpose

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of IT is responsible to plan, direct, manage, and oversee the company’s Information Technology functions while providing an overall strategic technology roadmap consistent with the company’s objectives.


Duties and Responsibilities

•Builds technology objectives and deliverables consistent with corporate strategic goals
•Plans and implements additions, deletions, and major modifications to the internal networks, infrastructure and systems and key integrations between systems.
•Oversees the implementation of network security at the corporate level.
•Anticipates future network needs and identifies proactive solutions to satisfy them.
•Identifies and establishes key vendor relationships that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
•Oversees all IT-related purchasing and budget usage.
•Works with accounting to develop periodic budgets and forecasts.
•Holds responsibility for capacity planning and scheduling vendor negotiations related to IT.
•Negotiates service level agreements with both internal and external customers and service providers and monitors service delivery to ensure the agreed targets and standards are met.
•Defines and seeks approval for the level of IT resources required to meet company goals and prioritizes and schedules major projects.
•Directs the preparation and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards relating to information and telecommunication systems.
•Researches and evaluates new technologies.
•Directs, attends, and participates in staff meetings and related activities, and attends workshops to keep current with industry issues, trends, and opportunities.


Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science, Information Systems, or Business; Master’s degree in Computing Science or Information Systems is preferred.
•Proven Senior IT Management experience.
•Exceptional communication skills in both technical and non-technical terms.
•A broad understanding of business technologies, standards, applications and solutions relevant to a mid-size corporation.
•Experience negotiating with vendors and managing external relationships.

Business Systems Analyst - Insurance

Job Description

Our GTA client has a requirement for a Business Systems Analyst. This is a permanent role located in Toronto.


Role:

- Identify and analyze information business problems/issues in business area, develop and test systems solutions to problems.
- Develop and maintain reports, procedures and documentation as required.
- Develop presentations on projects/proposals, and deliver as required.


Must Have Skills and Qualifications:

- Several years of experience as a business analyst or related position; Property and Casualty Insurance experience an asset; previous project management experience an asset.
- Knowledge of Property and Casualty industry and products an asset.
- Knowledge of Information Systems relating to assigned business area. (i.e. Business Intelligence tools and platforms, Data ware house tools and platform, J2EE. .NET etc.); Knowledge of PC, Mainframe, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Post-secondary education in a related field (i.e. Computer Science, Business Administration) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
