Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a AMS Supplier Service Delivery Manager for a 24 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Role

• The AMS Delivery Director will be responsible for the overall project management of AMS services to our public sector client. This may involve working with our near shore team in Atlantic Canada.
• The main focus areas will be customer satisfaction, meeting or exceeding agreed-upon service levels and creating business value.
• The Delivery Director will be responsible for the client relationship and managing a team that will be providing application maintenance, including enhancements, upgrades and proactive value creation activities.
• This role will also be involved in pre-sales activities around solution design and technical project planning.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage delivery activities including application maintenance, enhancement, and upgrades
• Manage project schedule/milestones, scope, resources, priorities, issues, risks, internal and external dependencies
• Apply processes which are in line with industry best practices (incident management, change/release management, quality program management and project management)
• Document, assign and monitor all project issues to ensure resolution with minimal impact to project progress
• Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to team members and assist them in completing their delivery work efficiently and productively
• Track and monitor health of the program/project, and facilitate global status meetings and reporting on project progress
• Managing the planning of services, delivery management, and financial/operation reporting

Essential Work Experience

• 10 + years of senior level exposure to people management and project management
• Experience leading large AMS projects within large program settings, particularly in the public sector industry and/or in a transaction processing outsourcing environment
• Consulting background, ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Experience with Near-Shore/ Global Delivery model working with dispersed teams
• Having appreciation for the PMI approach, tempered with practical application of the methodology
• University degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a related technical field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Values diversity, collaboration, and has experience mentoring others
• Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving skills
• Travel within the GTA and surrounding areas with occasional travel (10%) outside of the GTA may be required (to Atlantic Canada).
