Our client has a requirement for an Applications Architect for a 6 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Mississauga.

Role:
The Tools Solutions Engineering Distributed team within Software Solutions Engineering provides support to internal customers, in the form of Engineering Technical service support for processes, tools, tool selection, exploitation and management within the organization. The focus for ITS Tool Solutions Engineering Distributed team is at an enterprise level for tools and utilities used by developers and testers within the organization.

The Applications Architect works closely with technology peers and will be expected to manage, maintain and support Developer and Tester tools for the Enterprise


Requirement or Qualifications:
- 3 plus years experience with PTC (MKS) Source and Integrity
- Strong Windows O/S platform knowledge
- Strong technical knowledge and work experience across different infrastructure related technologies
- Development, and infrastructure services experience
- Strong scripting skills (i.e; Windows Batch, PowerShell)
- Strong organizational skills, self motivated, can work independently, is able to manage multiple and ever changing priorities
- Strong customer service orientation and a professional approach, ability to interact with all levels within the organization
- Work with vendors to facilitate problem resolution
- Strong analytical skills
- Very good oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills

Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience that would be an asset:
- Experience with various Source Code Management tools (VSS, CVS, MKS-SIS, etc.)
- Breadth of test tools knowledge (HP Quality and Performance Centre, OPTIM)
- Experience working within a financial institution
- Windows O/S knowledge
- SQL Knowledge
- Good understanding of project management
- Ideal Previous Work Experience: Large Enterprise experience, Financial institution background
- Certifications/Educational Background: Microsoft Certification MCSE
- Soft Skills Required: Interpersonal relationship management
- Team Culture: Close knit team, everyone supports each other

• Work with Developers to ensure that the detailed technical design is fully understood and the development initiatives are in line with the intended design
• Provide effort estimates for new projects and initiatives
• Ensure SDLC gating criteria are met
• Provide input into Application Deployment Plan

Our client has a requirement for a Senior Applications Developer for a 6 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

Role:
We are looking for a Senior Applications Programmer with strong Java development experience (IBM Rational Development environment); Oracle database experience (PL/SQL, embedded SQL, and Oracle utility); and has worked in Unix and Windows environment (ability to navigate and deploy application), along with application integration experience, web application development and IBM Websphere (v7) experience. This candidate will be working on multiple releases of a vendor package installs, work with the application and integrate solutions from the vendor documentation and figure out what is required.

The candidate must be organized, self motivated, as well as a team player and be able to participate in the knowledge transfer of information with peers and management, with strong communication skills. Candidates who have previous experience integrating solutions with vendor package install and has been involved with web services and Oracle development would be preferred.

Accountabilities Include:
• Develop and support quality solutions that meet the design expectations while adhering with client’s development best practices.
• Ensure defect-free programming by documenting and executing test cases that cover all functional and technical aspects of the code.
• Participate in projects of various sizes that range from full internal development to fully vendor-product implementation
• Produce and/or assist with the production of various SDLC/PMLC deliverables.
• Derive and consult on all aspects of research, analysis, design, and development of technical solutions including work effort and cost estimates
• Work across multiple applications leveraging your experience to assist other team members in system research, analysis, and problem resolution
• The candidate will have the opportunity to work autonomously, work with a great team of Java developers (providing the opportunity to improve and master development skills), and work on important and exciting projects that will shape the future of Compliance



Requirement or Qualifications:
• 3-5 years Java development experience (IBM Rational Development environment
• 3-5 years experience with database (Oracle preferably) including PL/SQL, embedded SQL, and Oracle utility experience.
• 3-5 years Unix experience (navigate and deploy application) and Unix scripts


Other mandatory requirements include: • 2-3 years application integration experience
• 2-3 years web application development
• Experience in IBM Websphere environment.


Nice to have: • Vendor package installs (i.e., Actimize)
• Expertise in the compliance domain
• Experience with System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) project deliverables
• Experience with HP Quality Center
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment, multi-task and work with minimal supervision
• Work effectively in a team environment and be able to interact with all levels of personnel from various functional areas
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Proficiency with MS Office PC software applications (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint)
University or College degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred. Strong qualifications as outlined in this posting will be considered in the absence of the educational requirement.

Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for Business Analyst for a 6 months contract opportunity.  The position is located in Ottawa.


Deliverables
  •  Provide one-on-one telephone support to HSPs (health service providers) throughout their implementation
  • Complete HSP contact report following all calls
  • Debrief with regional implementation leads and education specialists on implementation progress as appropriate
  • Organize and facilitate group teleconferences with coordinators and trainers as part of their implementation
    • Support implementation by
    • Contributing to assignment of levels of support
    • Participating in regular meetings
    • Monitoring and tracking completion of implementation milestones and preparing appropriate reports
    • Responding to Support Centre queries and documenting resolution
  • Follow up with HSPs to facilitate workshop enrolment
  • Tracks HSP milestones and training
  • Updates milestones database and maintains implementation documents
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the Support Centre as required
  • Act as back-up contact person for HSPs during times of absence of education specialists (vacations/training), when appropriate
  • Attend and provide assistance to training sessions, as required
  • Assist with the orientation of secondees and other new staff e.g. checking coding assignments
  • Follow the regional implementation model and adhere to regional and core processes


Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Adult teaching experience (this position will not be presenting to a large audience, but will be providing coaching to coordinators at HSPs, feedback on assignments,  and interpretation of training materials)
  • Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Good analytical skills with ability to problem solve
  • Superior communication skills (written and verbal – including phone skills)
  • Experience facilitating small groups, using virtual mechanisms e.g. WebEx
  • Experience working within a team environment

Our client has a requirement for a Business Process Consultant for a 4 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Montreal.


Role:
  • Accountable for documentation and integration of complete RFP process and its improvements
  • Document “Current State” of RFP Processes
  • Document “Future State” of RFP Processes
  • Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvements in RFP process
  • Coordinates with individuals accountable for quality assessment to help identify and understand process risks and/or needed quality checks for inclusion in audit processes.
  • Conduct gap analysis between current state workflow and future workflow
  • Document changes resulting from process improvements
  • Work with individuals accountable to produce related procedural and training documentation
  • Ensure cross project business process dependencies are well understood between teams
  • Provide best practices and benchmarks of RFP processes in financial industry


Requirement or Qualifications:
  • 4 to 5 years of process improvement experience
  • Excellent Communication Skills (Written and Verbal) in English (more) & French
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Training or certification in LEAN required
  • Visio experience required
  • MS Office experience required
