Our client has a requirement for QA Manager for a 3 months contract opportunity. The positions are located in Toronto, Ontario.


Requirements or Qualifications

We are looking for a QA Manager who will also be required to perform testing along with their team. This is a contract to FT hire role; contract to hire after 3 months. The role will also require the manager to perform testing along with their team. The candidate will collaborate with business and technology leads, as well as operators and developers within the organization. There is no direct report but they will need to oversee and control the entire testing cycle and manage the entire process along with other QA Managers. Team lead experience is a must have.

Experience with Capital Market is preferred or experience in Financial Services experience. Excellent communication skills are critical to this project.


Accountabilities

•Day-to-day responsibilities include management of a testing team responsible for performing regression and new functionality testing for all systems required to deliver a project.
•Candidate must be proficient in various QA/testing methodologies including test case/scenario development, script development, execution, and defect tracking. A good understanding of SDLC best practices is also required. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
•Formulate detailed testing strategy and detailed test plans, including estimating effort and duration, identifying test environments, number of cycles of testing, types and levels of testing that are required.
•Actively contribute to estimation and planning, risk assessment, contingency planning, tracking and management of progress, issues, risk, and resources.
•Estimate and obtain management support for the time, resources and budget required to perform the testing.
•Develop and execute detailed functional, performance, integration and regression test cases, and documentation.
•Ensure test process, methodologies, and tools are applied appropriately and that test phase entry/exit criteria are agreed to by stakeholders and applied by the test team.
•Provide effective and timely communication to the project delivery teams, operating and executive steering committees.
•Prioritize testing tasks based on goals and risks of projects and ensure testing milestones, activities and tasks are completed as scheduled.
•Ensure the timely delivery of different testing milestones.
•Develop test cases, scenarios, and scripts to ensure quality applications.
•Execute tests and ensures results achieve documented goals and objectives.
•Execute test scripts using test tools following the defined testing methodology.
•Coordinate with the Infrastructure teams that will be responsible for executing application load and stress testing.
•Work closely with development and systems teams to re-generate scenarios in the test environment, capture logs and provide root cause analysis.
•Lead the testing team in using test tools, defect tracking tools and other test support tools and identify and implement process improvements where applicable.
•Track and prepare the quality metrics report of testing activities like testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, performance baselines etc.
•Report the status of test planning, defects and execution activities, including regular status updates to the project team using quality metrics.
•Communicate and manage expectations of the senior management team and affected stakeholders during the planning and rollout of project releases.
•Ensure all sign offs on deliverables (overall test strategy, test plan, test cases, etc.) and that testing meets governance requirements.
•Prepares / updates the metrics dashboard at the end of a phase or at the completion of project.

Role

Our Technology & Network Services is an organizational group within ITS which manages key components of our organization's technology infrastructure (desktop services, email, Instant Messaging, Web Conferencing and Social Mediated Services, and Remote Access). We are responsible for defining and evolving the strategy and the roadmap for each of these services including the overall accountability for the pricing and recovery of the services. While not performing the engineering, architecture and operations functions, the team has overall accountability for the direction, quality of service and performance of the product. We work in conjunction with these groups or any external vendor to ensure all key operating metrics are performed as described. We ensure a plan exists to deliver consistent service to all of our employees.

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to work within the Workspace Service Delivery (WSD) Team, who would be responsible for delivering complex workspace components for Technology projects. The candidate will have strong working relationships with Delivery teams, vendors, and/or Project Managers for the projects to which she/he is assigned. The position requires a self-starter with strong leadership qualities, and proven experience delivering complex technology projects.


Responsibilities

The specific responsibilities include:

•Accountable for the project management process and deliverables for multiple projects
•Ensures 100% compliance to the organization’s project management methodology by ensuring that recognized project management processes, discipline and controls are consistently applied and adhered to for assigned projects
•Identifies all project dependencies and risks, ensuring that they are effectively managed
•Ensures mitigation/contingency plans are in place for identified risks
•Executes project management deliverables within budget and as per the approved project plan, working with business partners to develop the content of those deliverables
•Controls change to project scope through accepted change management processes and documentation
•Investigates, escalates and ensures that all project issues are effectively resolved
•Provides advice and guidance to business partners as required regarding best practices in project management
•Develops an understanding of the technical/business aspects of the project in order to effectively manage the project and resources
•May be expected to initiate and manage contracts for products or services
•Provides project reporting, and status and issues requiring attention to senior management

Requirements or Qualifications

Qualified Candidates will have:

•6+ years project management experience, with at least 3 years managing Technology projects
•Experience managing Desktop/Server technology projects would be an asset
•Knowledge of Retail, Financial or Corporate business areas and applications would be an asset
•Proficiency with MS Office PC software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
•Knowledge of Business best practices and related tools/processes.
•College / University or equivalent work experience.

Scope of Work/Description:

In this intermediate level role, the Infrastructure Field Technical Analyst will be responsible for the support and development of initiatives related to IT hardware, network and telecom infrastructure solutions across the Client field portfolio. This team is accountable for delivery of the Client infrastructure disciplines including Voice Telecom, Data Telecom, Desktop Infrastructure, Mobility Tools, and Hardware for field sites. This team acts as the primary interface to the various working groups in the company with respect to ensuring the IT business needs of Client field sites are satisfied. They also ensure that business requirements are communicated to partnering IT teams, and work with both parties and required vendors to ensure delivery of the most effective solution. Please note that for this role there will be some travel to field sites.

Data Analyst

Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a Sr. Data Analyst for a 3 month contract opportunity. The positions is located in Toronto.


Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain Analytics & Sales Reporting database and maintain data management practices, frameworks and paradigms to support ongoing reporting and analysis functions.
•Understand business needs and work with analytics team to develop and meet business requirements.
•Ensure data integrity, designing and implementing clear, well-documented business rules for data segmentation.
•Develop and maintain effective relationships with distribution channels
•Aggregate data received from business partners and other business units and integrating with sales data to facilitate co-operative reporting and in-depth analysis.
•Setting of standards for the physical and logical database schema and table design, as well as the programming.
•Manage technical processes, including business segmentation criteria, implement changes associated with new products, programming/procedures and report design.
•Contribute to and facilitate on-going business reporting including streamlining, review and re-development of reporting processes.
•Contribute to the strategic direction of the Analytics team by keeping current on industry trends and data management/business intelligence best practices.
•Act as subject matter expert with respect to database architecture and provide guidance / advice and recommendations to support the ongoing operations of the Analytics & Sales Reporting team.


Requirements or Qualifications

Qualified Candidates will have:

•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects on time
•Strong relational database expertise (SQL Server 2000 /2005/ 2008, OLAP, Oracle, DB2, etc.).
•Comprehensive knowledge and experience with Business Intelligence solutions.
•Working knowledge of database scripts and familiarity with web development (ASP, ASP.NET, and Sharepoint)
•Experience with mutual fund unitholder recordkeeping systems (CGI / Unitrax) and Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) is an asset.
•Knowledge of various business software applications, including the Microsoft Office suite.
•Familiarity with data extraction/mining tools such as SAS.
•Demonstrated experience in process analysis and process flow documentation.
•Demonstrated leadership in a business analysis or business support role.

Our client has a requirement for a Solution Delivery Analyst – Remote Access for a six month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto, ON.


Role

As a Solution Delivery analyst of the Remote Access Team, the roles and responsibilities include the order fulfillment of Remote Access Requests. The position involves interacting with the various IT groups to coordinate the functions and requirements necessary to complete the Remote Access requests across the enterprise. In addition, the individual will be working closely with the Remote Access support team addressing exception scenarios and issues as required. •Ensure the accurate setup of all new agents in Canada and the US environment.
•Create updated and accurate documentation and training initiatives.
•Liaison with CompliTech/Whitehat (vendor) to facilitate the ordering of physical and software tokens.
•Customizing of the email notification for the token expiry using the ‘Survey Monkey’ tool.
•Liaison with various departments within the organization to provide custom solutions to meet the business needs
•Maintain Audit compliance requirements throughout the entire solution
•Maintain TRIMIS security requirements throughout all the platforms


Requirements or Qualifications

Qualified Candidates will have:

•Systems Administration experience

Business Analyst, Implementation / Level 1

Job Description

The services and deliverables to be provided will include the following:

Deliverables

•Provide one-on-one telephone support to HSPs (health service providers) throughout their implementation
•Debrief with regional implementation leads and education specialists on implementation progress as appropriate
•Organize and facilitate group teleconferences with coordinators and trainers as part of their implementation

Support implementation by:

•Contributing to assignment of levels of support
•Participating in regular meetings
•Monitoring and tracking completion of implementation milestones and preparing appropriate reports
•Responding to Support Centre queries and documenting resolution
•Follow up with HSPs to facilitate workshop enrolment
•Tracks HSP milestones and training
•Updates milestones database and maintains implementation documents
•Provide subject matter expertise to the Support Centre as required
•Act as back-up contact person for HSPs during times of absence of education specialists (vacations/training), when appropriate
•Attend and provide assistance to training sessions, as required
•Assist with the orientation of secondees and other new staff e.g. checking coding assignments
•Follow the regional implementation model and adhere to regional and core processes
•Maintaining and updating implementation status and information in appropriate systems


Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Our client has a requirement for Project Control Officer for a 5 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Mississauga.

The Project Control Officer will be supporting a Tier 1 initiative within the Credit Card technology team to ensure project control procedures and policies within a program of related projects are executed. The PCO will assist in maintaining project schedules, develop and maintain issue logs, maintain project repositories of documents, prepare documents for various recurring meetings including minutes, issue logs, and risks etc. The PCO will develop presentation documentation as required for project teams and develop consolidate program status reports. The primary focus will be on providing financial tracking and analytical support to project managers.


Responsibilities

•Utilize project management software and applicable templates to prepare documentation, track and monitor project information.
•Monitor and maintain financial reporting, along with assisting with project forecasting, ensuring project managers complete updates are required. Create additional reports as necessary.
•Exercise discretion in managing correspondence and information, escalating issues where appropriate.
•Acts as central point of communication for core team members, management, technology partners and other stakeholders on the project.
